Absolute piss poor service. After a very cold initial phone assessment, I was supposed to have a call with Adam, waited over 30 mins and he didn’t show up. I emailed talk Wandsworth proving that he didn’t show up to the video call and called them up. They’ve offered me a new video call 2 MONTHS later because they’re ’full up’ even though it was Adam who didn’t show up to the call. I’m utterly disgusted and really going through it at the moment. Wouldn’t recommend to anybody and is a total waste of taxpayers money. I honestly thought it was just me who was experiencing this madness with talk Wandsworth but after looking through these comments, it’s clear that Talk Wandsworth isn't fit for purpose and maybe this is a top-down issue that isn’t being regulated, because people have had the same frustrations that I have for years according to your reviews. I really hate that it’s vulnerable people being messed with like this. Genuinely, what a disgraceful organisation.

Have tried twice to get my initial consultation call and both times the call never happened. It is so disheartening to expect to start this journey as part of recovery and have it so callously spat on with no explanation or apology. Readers: your health matters! If you can afford to, please look for support elsewhere, otherwise I wish you better luck than I've had with Wandsworth Talking Therapies.

While I appreciate the opportunity and effort to help I did not find the WTT useful at all. The therapist seemed to be reading from a script and at every session reciting a questionnaire which simply required filling in multiple choice 1-3 responses. When I attempted to explain why 1 chose 1 or 2 or 3 the therapist did not appear to be listening and just wanted to go in to the next question of 1-3 to complete the 30 minute session. Sorry but I felt my time could have been spent to better use talking to a friend. Thanks anyway.

I had the most horrible experience, instead of being help, the person allocated to me, provoked me more harm that could ever imagine. From my experience with Beth, I realized she just comes to get paid without any professionalism or empathy towards the people she works with or the situation that they are going through. She allowed herself to call me even after I officially announced that I didn't want to work with her anymore. She called me just to cause me another panic attack. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HER, if you don’t have problems, she definitely creates them for you.

I work in mental health services and attempted to access this service for CBT for myself and have never experienced anything as hostile and unhelpful as this service. If this is the treatment people are getting when trying to access low level Intervention then no wonder our patients are exasperated and frustrated by mental health services. The assessment process feels like a tick box exercise with zero tailoring to any patient specific factors, it was so cold and unempathetic and I was expected to share deeply personal information with someone who had made zero attempt to build rapport. I spent 20 minutes answering ‘no’ to an array of risk associated questions, before spending 5 minutes discussing my referral and being told the maximum offer would be group therapy sessions? Then after the assessor ‘discussed with the team’ I was informed that my questionnaire scores ‘did not meet caseness’ for treatment under the service. Seeing as I was informed to refer myself to this service for low level CBT I was shocked and quite frankly appalled at this response. When I expressed my shock at how I’m not ‘unwell enough’ for treatment I was told ‘I’m here past my working hours so I’m going to end the call’ Honestly shocking.

Quick with initial assessment but then after two months of waiting they call to arrange start of CBT from an unknown number which I can’t then contact them back on, nor do they email me regarding next steps. Incredibly frustrating and unhelpful. Wouldn’t recommend. EDIT: they put blame on you in their discharge letter (which they also send to the GP) and say that you don't answer your phone. Incredibly upsetting for your GP to be sent this and think you are not getting help!

It's a long wait but I can assure you that it's definately worth it. The CBT at Talk Wandsworth is making a positive impact in my life and consequently, for those around me like family and friends too. Karis Smaller, is an outstanding qualified therapist. She'll pay you close attention, help you learn more about yourself from different perspectives and give you practical tips and tools to improve your life.

I was referred to this service by my GP, to self refer myself as been going through multiple mental and emotional struggles following many bereavements, life struggles etc. I filled in their forms, thinking I'd be contacted for help, nobody contacted me, ever! I then called them directly, multiple times yet they never pick up, I then emailed numerous times, again no replies, after a month of this and no contact, they then emailed me saying that as they had not been able to reach me, they are closing my request of self referral. Even though they had never even contacted me nor replied to my calls and emails, truly worst service provider ever, I am still struggling and now have nowhere to turn for help. If I could rate them a minus 100 stars I would for their truly disgusting disregard for those who reach out to need mental help.

After initial contact and brief one to one, I was fobbed off to a partner company called Xyla. Waited 8 months for someone to contact me. Had one brief telephone conversation and was then told they couldn't help. GP told me to self refer back to Talk Wandsworth. Again had one brief session, filling in forms and answering basic questions. Been waiting now for someone to get back to me with an appointment since last year. Seems to me they sign you up, get all the paperwork sorted to tick all the right boxes, in order to justify their grant applications and retain their status. 2 weeks ago I requested written confirmation, by way of a summary of my involvement with them, would be passed on to a manager I was informed by admin. Phoned this morning for an update only to find they can't take any calls at the moment. Maybe they are all in a meeting, on annual leave, off with Covid-19 etc.

I was referred by my GP and started off with CBT. I was using SilverCloud which seems like the lowest level of support they can offer. I did not find it useful at all so my therapist and I came to a conclusion that the CBT/SilverCloud way is not helping and I can get counselling. 2 weeks later I received an email that I will have to wait 12-18 weeks before they contact me for an appointment. The worst part of this that after having agreed that the level of support I received is inadequate, I am now left with zero support for 12-18 weeks. I understand that I am not a priority because there are people out there with much worse conditions than I have but there should be some form of support offered while waiting other than the online tools which we have already concluded are useless for me.
