   I have just completed the • Advanced Certificate in Counselling and Expressive Therapeutic Arts: – Level 3 with Jenny as my Tutor at Reflect-On Academy. I really enjoyed the experience. I got so much out of the course and learned so much about myself. The thing I enjoyed most was the expressive arts element. I found it freeing and extremely therapeutic expressing my feelings through drawing and creating art. Although the essays were daunting, once I got started, I couldn't stop, the words came pouring out of me. I'm literally amazed at how much I have learned in such a short time on this course. Jenny is a brilliant teacher and the group discussions have been interesting, challenging and extremely informative. We learned Carl Rogers and Person Centered Counselling and the more skills practice I did, the more confident I became. I have already been offered a job role using my counselling skills and I couldn't be more pleased. Would definitely recommend this course.

   I studied at Reflect-On Academy from 2014 to 2018, completing the certificate in counselling skills and diploma in person centred counselling and psychotherapy. The environment is what sold Reflect-On's courses to me. I struggle to understand how one can train to become a counsellor in a lecture theatre, as it's not exactly a therapeutic space. Reflect-On's learning space is a fully functioning counselling room where you get first-hand experience of what your clients will go through. You learn where clients learn about themselves. Personally, I found the experience life changing. Training to be a psychotherapist is definitely not for the faint hearted though. You have to address elements of yourself you'd left in the shadows for a long time but Jenny and her team, as well as the therapeutic surroundings, make the journey as rewarding and enjoyable as it can be.
