   This used to be a really good practice but last couple of years it's so difficult to get to speak to anyone on the phone they tell you to use website for appointments and when you do it's impossible to book a gp appointment. My last telephone appointment with a GP some 4 months ago problem wasn't resolved and I'm still struggling. Awaiting my diabetes review at end of month to complain and to see if I can get a GP appointment.

   My family and I have happily been a patients at this surgery for many years. However, in the last 2 years, it is (virtually) impossible to speak to a receptionist or book an appointment on-line to see a doctor. Recently, I contacted the surgery to discuss something concerning. I now have to wait a month; for a phone consultation with someone; between the hours of 2-6pm. How is this ok?

   I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service I received at this surgery today, following transfer of my medical record to this practice recently. Dr Oorloff was amazing and was very professional and approachable in dealing with my medical matter. I must say this was one of those very rare situations where I felt that my doctor really cared about my well being.

   Contacted the surgery at 8 am, received a message that I would receive a phone call. The promised call happened at 1pm, medication changed and picked up from the pharmacy by 3pm. Seamless service delivered in a caring and professional manner as usual. Brilliant surgery operated by a great team full of dedicated staff. I consider myself blessed to have chosen Sunny Meed as my GP service.

   As a Goldsworth Park resident for 15 years, this practice has gone from bad to worse. Trying to get an appointment here is ridiculously hard-we keep being offered appointments at main branch or elsewhere. As a family we've had umpteen problems: appointments changed to other branch at last minute, doctors not treating our son's long standing fungal nail infection, (leading us to going to a private practitioner), referrals not made, prescriptions not put through, not to mention the reception staff who do not have a clue about customer service. No wonder the NHS is doing badly!!

   A clinic appointment at 9:20am should take place at or close to that you'd expect. No, in fact, at Sunny Meed you can apparently expect to wait at least 50 minutes later than your appointment time. Nobody thought to communicate the delay, I couldn't book a new appointment when I had to leave and return to work (yes, I waited so long I was then late to meetings and didn't even get to see a GP) and the next appointment I was offered was more than two weeks in the future- shocking given this was the surgery's gaff and not.mine! I wouldn't recommend the surgery after today's experience and from what I heard from other patients waiting with me, this is not.unusal.
