   Martin led a 90 minute first aid familiarisation session for 17 staff and volunteers of the Westbury sub Mendip Community Shop last week. For most it was a refresher. He tailored the content to our needs, including much useful information and advice as well as use of the defibrillator. The feedback was extremely positive, and we plan to arrange refresher sessions with Martin in future. Highly recommended!

   Emergency First Aid at Work course: Martin is a very experienced paramedic who enjoys passing his knowledge to others, the delivery of the course involves practical and PowerPoint, both delivered professionally and with an element of fun. All levels of knowledge are catered for, and no question is deemed stupid. I would certainly recommend any course with Martin, and will be returning when I need to revalidate my certificate.    Excellent delivery of the Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work course today. Martin was super friendly and engaging throughout the day. A really good balance of practical exercises and theory. Martin’s in-depth knowledge of first aid given his many years of experience as a paramedic helped bring scenarios to life and filled a first timer like me with the trust that he knew what he was talking about. Fantastic course and a great guy. Excellent equipment and visuals used throughout. Highly recommended.

   I attended the 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work course with Martin. He is a very experienced, knowledgeable, friendly and approachable person. It was both an enjoyable and informative day. I've been on quite a few first aid courses over the years and this was by far the best one I've been on. Martin is a paramedic and has also taught paramedics too. It made a big difference being trained in first aid by someone who has had real life experience of dealing with people in need of emergency assistance. I particularly appreciated the teaching aids. In the past, I've learnt various ways to help people (such as abdominal thrusts/back slaps to help someone who is choking) but I've never practised it. Martin had special vests that we could put on to practise the process on each other. Of course the resuscitation dolls were in use too. I also was very pleased to learn how to use a defibrillator. This was invaluable. I learnt a lot from the course and came away feeling confident that I can assist someone should the occasion arise. I would highly recommend Martin's courses.
