We had a lovely dinner at Art Kitchen. The young gentleman who served us was really nice and friendly. Food was really tasty & the restaurant and toilets were really clean. Loved the hand towels at the end…nice touch
We visited here and tried their lunch menu. Small portions for a large price. Food was average and the service was slow. When we asked for a refil on our glasses of tap water we were told "no". Zero customer care leading to a negative experience. I urge everyone to avoid this place. Lots of much better options within walking distance.
When arriving fairly late on a busy Saturday night all the staff were fantastic in fitting three of us in. Everything seemed great. Then when we ordered less food than I think was expected, the manager(?) seemed to be put out and I felt, treated us differently from then until we paid. The rest of the staff continued to be fabulous. There appeared to be a new, young man who was absolutely adorable. There were things he was unsure of but he just checked with more experienced staff and came back to us. What a delightful addition he is. The staff were also wonderful in trying to accommodate our friend's request for a rosé wine, even though she was happy to have a pinot grigio instead. Our one-bite Selection Box for 2 was tasty, in particular the duck roll which was divine. My husband's Drunken Noodles, of which I only had a teeny taster was delicious though I know he was disappointed that it was supposed to be spicy and it wasn't. As a regular Asian cook myself I understand the difficulties in getting spice levels right, however, had someone come to check, they could then have offered him some cut chilli or chilli oil/sauce to please him. So all in all a lovely experience, great place with a great atmosphere but it's a shame that we were made to feel, by one person, that our order quantity wasn't enough. No one else came in after us so they didn't miss out on business... And it was shortsighted since on other occasions we'd order more and would potentially be repeat customers.
Lovely Thai food. Was here for Father’s Day. Really like the unrushed atmosphere and we get the chance to look at the closest art work from our seating.
We booked a table for 5 at The Art Kitchen for an evening meal in May. In the booking notes online we asked if we could sit upstairs. Upon arriving we were given the choice of a table downstairs in the centre of the bustling restaurant or we could go to sit upstairs where we would be the only ones up there. We chose to sit upstairs and it felt like we had our own private dining experience!!! We thought being tucked away upstairs we might get forgotten about, but it was quite the opposite. The service was outstand. - friendly, chatty and super attentive - consistently coming back to check on us, if we needed more drinks and if everything was okay with our food. The restaurant was spotless and our food, which was freshly made to order arrived fantastically quickly. We ordered a selection of mixed starters to share - chicken satay, prawn toast, ribs, and vegetable spring rolls. Not only did they look amazing but the portion sizes were remarkable....not the tiny stuff you get at a take away or in a supermarket! It was quality and quantity. I had the chicken pad Thai - my favourite - which was amazing. There was plenty of chicken and it wasn't too salty either which can sometimes be the case. The same was the case with the Prawn pad Thai which has huge prawns throughout! The rest of the party had the Thai curry - again there was plenty of chicken, gorgeous pieces of aubergine and it wasn't too spicey for them either. The food was beautifully presented and we ALL agreed it was the best Thai food we have ever had....two of whom have actually been to Thailand! Thai food is my favourite, and I have been wanting to try Thai Kitchen for a long time after hearing so many good things about it, and I can honestly say it didn't disappoint! Stubbled across this little gen whilst looking for somewhere to eat. They fitted us in but it is best to book ahead. Lively restaurant serving amazing thai food. Can thoroughly recommend the tamarind duck and thai red curry.
The food is good but the staff are beyond rude and have no customer service skills. We asked for some extra sauce and the response was ‘ask me what you want all together instead of little bits I’m busy downstairs’. After realising my fiancés portion size was quite small we simply asked a question about the portion and we simply got shouted at by another waitress, she didn’t want to hear what we had to say instead just kept saying sorry at the top of her lungs and refused to acknowledge what we had to say and was walking away. We even said you keep walking away we’re trying to explain something. We then spoke to someone called Monika who appeared to understand our experience, she said the waitress in question needs more training. The experience for us was not a good one, we would not come back, not because of the food as it was great but because of the rude members of staff. We will be filing a complaint with the owners as the staff did not compensate our awful experience.

A solid 4 star - a really good place, with a nice atmosphere, and the dishes were really good (but not flawless). Had rolls for starters, one vegetarian (that was really good but looked the same as shop bought) and one 'AK', which should have been a roll, but wasn't really sticking together. For mains had the 3 flavours duck and a coconut seabass. The duck was excellent (but bear in mind the 3 favours are all together, not separate as the menu might suggest) and the seabass had no hint of coconut. The broth the fish came in smelled quite fishy. For desert we had the coconut pancake, which was marvelous (albeit a bit small). Altogether a nice experience. A bit on the pricey side for the presentation.
Stunning flavours, cosy atmosphere and wonderfully friendly staff. My partner doesn't do spice well but the Tamarind Duck was flavoursome and beautifully cooked. My Seafood Curry was delicious with perfectly balanced spice to the flavours. We will definitely be returning. The only downsides were it's quite close inside table to table, and unfortunately the water tasted stale.
