   Didn’t have food but is a meeting place with a load of old school mates over 40yrs on from when we all met. It’s a regular for a few of the lads and has a great atmosphere and some good craft beers and ciders. I’ve heard that the food is really good too

   We visited the Millpool on Sunday and the food was faultless, there was a great atmosphere and lots of customers were really enjoying their time. The staff were friendly but my only criticism is that they all seemed very frazzled and didn’t seem to know how the place operated, when asking for condiments the waiter disappeared and don’t come backs and they were unsure what to do when I asked if we order food at the bar or the table. In the end we managed to order drinks at the table but were then asked to order food at the bar…

   Horrible blonde short staff member should not work in hospitality. Rude and made to feel like we weren’t wanted there. Everyone else was so polite and friendly. The food was good, the atmosphere was good. We were talking about booking to go back for one of their deals but unless this woman goes back under the bridge where she belongs I’d rather get a takeaway. One person has ruined my experience there when everything else was so nice.

   We visited the pub after attending a memorial service at the hospital for my dad, who sadly passed away and would have been celebrating his 70th birthday that day. We wanted somewhere comfortable to gather as a family and raise a glass in his honour. Before visiting, we checked the website which stated that dogs are allowed outside, so my brother brought his dog along and kept her outside one of the pods. However, a very miserable and unwelcoming member of staff came over and abruptly told him the dog wasn’t allowed there. When my brother questioned this, explaining what we had read online, there was no understanding or compassion — especially considering the circumstances. To avoid any conflict, my brother put his dog straight in the car. We tried to settle back into the afternoon, only for the same staff member to return moments later, questioning how many people we had in the pod. It felt unnecessary and as though she was simply trying to find a reason to cause further issues. The behaviour completely spoiled what should have been a meaningful and emotional time for our family. It was a day to celebrate and remember our dad — instead we were made to feel like an inconvenience. A little kindness and empathy would have gone a very long way.

   Absolutely fantastic meal and drinks; chefs special Quesadillas, hanging kebab and chicken fajitas… cannot fault anything. We booked one of the pods and the experience was fabulous!

   Great pub with delicious food and tasty cocktails. I was there with my best friend to celebrate my birthday. Music was great, atmosphere nice. I will definitely come back there for a meal as I saw plenty of served meals during my stay there - they looked amazing.

   We love The Millpool! Reservations is Definitely a must (at least on weekends) as they are booked solid. Food is very good, service is fast and friendly. There are 3 different areas to dine in not including the private party area which is another large room. We celebrated a "quiet" birthday with starters, burgers, and wine! They brought out a piece of Ultimate Chocolate cake with a lit candle which was a delight! I highly recommend The Millpool!

   Came here on a working lunch with about 10 of my work colleagues Place was busy but not rammed We ordered our food and was ready when we got there Tasty food and portions for the price Everyone was happy with their food and nothing was cold or uncooked Starters. Mains. Deserts all great food Would deffo come here again. Even the owner came over and had a chat Keep up the good work and service
