the food tastes pretty good, but the portions are so small - the trays are all half empty when they arrive. curry sauce pots are always nowhere near full too. disappointing as i enjoy the food, but its quite expensive and you get half portions
Don't bother! i ordered beef satay got some horrible pork dish Singapore chow mein was bland and tasteless even tho I asked for more chilli, Please don't use these there awful
Has the ownership or the cook of this place changed? Last nights food was dreadful, watery sweet and sour sauce, dry tasteless chicken, soggy batter, warmed up oven chips (inedible) and beef was slimy and like eating chewing gum, you couldn't swallow it. Byfar
i really love this takeaway !Every time I order takeaway, I’m always satisfied. Their Sweet and Sour chicken contonese style and vegetarian dishes are especially authentic. One bite and you can really taste the true flavors of Chinese food. The delivery speed is also very fast, usually arriving on time. The food is packaged well and arrives hot with no spillage. I really like the service here, the delivery driver is always friendly. I’ve already recommended it to my friends, and I’ll definitely order again next time!
Not good at all, I don’t know how people are giving full 5 stars! Watered down curry so bland, chicken in it was like jelly awful. Chicken satay was dreadful don’t know what they use to make the sauce but it’s really bad like watery gravy gloop. Found a hair in the food.. gross. Came way too quick for my liking. Wouldn’t ever order here again. £30 wasted.

Having been a regular customer for many years, I was utterly let down tonight. Ordered at 6.26pm online and had confirmation food would be delivered within 58 mins. At 7.16pm received a text informing me that they had too many orders and so have cancelled mine and I'll receive a refund within 3-5 working days (I'm in the wrong business - if we all did that we could live off the income from interest without ever providing any service!). Unsurprisingly I got straight on the phone to someone who really didn't care less. Upshot is that that we now have no dinner and, sadly, have no alternative but to boycott and try to find another chinese to frequent in the future. All they needed to do was let me know when I placed the order and things could have been very different. I'm a reasonable person and accept that takeaways can be let down by delivery drivers, but they must have known they were busy when they took my order - there is no excuse for the utter lack of communication and service. Sadly, never again.
Ordered food at 6.20pm last night and received the delivery at 8.35pm. I ordered using the just eat app and whilst waiting went back into the just eat app to report non arrival of food . On the app the message said there was a delay and a box appeared to request a partial refund for this issue. I clicked on this box and another message appeared stating I would hear in due course. This morning I received a message from just eat via text saying the restaurant will not be giving a refund and we hope you enjoyed your food . 2 hours 20 mins is NOT ACCEPTABLE for two vermicelli dishes and a message saying hope you enjoyed your food is an insult . My husband and I will not be ordering from this establishment again and they have lost a long time regular customer mainly because of this completely insincere apology with no explanation. They should have at least refunded delivery charge and SERVICE CHARGE that they add on . NOT WHAT I CALL SERVICE AT ALL.
the worst chinese food I ever had. ordered beef in szechuan sauce, egg fried rice, and crispy duck with pancake. All three dishes are bad (taste wise). beef is dry and hard, the sauce is just a normal chili sauce instead of the expected szechuan sauce, the duck is dry and chopped really badly looking like food residue. Even the most basic egg fried rice is tasteless and dry. and the price point is not low. would not order again and I do not recommend.
Not had food from here since it was called the Ruby and probably won't again. Spring rolls over cooked, I'm sure that when I was cheffing a few years ago crispy food like this was supposed to be cooked to a golden brown colour not dark brown and black on the ends. Maybe it's time to change the oil! House special curry, all you need to do is mix curry powder with water. Using too much powder does not improve taste.
