Really disappointing experience. Sunday roast and had a nice welcome. Staff lovely especially barman but the restaurant was cold with no ambience. Food was low standard, roast potatoes tasted processed, veg was cold. Plate not warmed. Sticky toffee pudding dry and served cold. Long wait for dessert. Won’t be returning. Not sure Marco would be happy eating here.

I had a brilliant meal recently and couldn't fault a thing! The food was top-notch, with everything from the warm sourdough to the fillet steak being absolutely delicious. Service was excellent—my drinks were topped up, and the team checked in on us throughout the meal. The only thing that could've made it even better was a bit of background music, as it was a bit quiet. Overall, it was a great experience that I can’t wait to repeat!

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Their attentiveness was remarkable without ever being intrusive—they anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Our dietary preferences were remembered, and every dish was introduced with a smile and follow up on. The waiters were chatty and friendly. It’s obvious that this restaurant team is a part of hotel team as the smiles and great attention to details were ever present. Their attentive care truly elevated the whole dining experience—an absolute credit to the restaurant. The only remark I’ve got is that we could not tip more than the automatically added service charge which is a shame. This was also handled professionally by our waiter. Highly recommended!

Wow, what an incredible Sunday Lunch experience we had! The atmosphere was vibrant, the staff were exceptional, and the service was simply unbeatable. Even though we were enjoying a voucher we won at the Charity event for Help Harry, Help Heroes, we were treated like VIPs with the utmost respect and care. We truly had a fantastic time—thank you so much! ✨

Food quality has deteriorated significantly since our last visit. Head waiter was unprofessional shouting at our waitress in front of guests. I know it's only Marco Pierre White's name over the door because if he was there the Head Waiter would either lose his job or get a very public drubbing. Scotch Egg is still worthwhile but everything else has taken a turn for the worse. Dauphinoise potatoes are very good though even if smothered too much in cheese

3 of us for dinner and 2 of us ordered 2 versions of the fillet steaks. One well done one medium rare. Chefs plated up wrong steaks. While waiter was apologetic the manager ignored us all night and preferred to only speak to tables with men on it from where I saw anyway. Our wine arrived and they obviously spilled wine outside the glass and hadn't cleaned it up. Took over an hour for our meal to arrive. Think a major overhaul is needed starting with manager

Service was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. That being said it was not my favourite experience. I was not impressed with the sandwiches and found the second pot of tea to be stewed. I opened the pot and found three teabags.

Came here today for Mother’s Day afternoon tea. The Best Western Plus Manor Hotel is clean with a lovely aroma. However, I feel the staff at MPW could be more attentive. Once we were both seated, the lady asked us if we would like tea or coffee. We got ourselves comfortable and the cake stand arrived before our hot drinks, we waited but no arrival so I had to ask someone and then they brought it over. My mom even asked for a takeaway box the lady said she would bring one over but didn’t so we just ate the rest. Overall, the experience was pleasant. We were even invited to a private Mothers Day event, where we was greeted by lovely people and enjoyed Prosecco with live music so can’t complain ⭐️

Went for my mums 50th birthday and the food, drinks and staff (especially Holly) were amazing. Every time we have came here, it has been faultless. Thank you for making my mums birthday special. We will be returning soon!
