   Very happy indeed to call Open Kitchen my local Chinese. The salt and pepper chicken genuinely is the best around. We frequent the pork chow mein also, proper slices of pork no skimpy little pre-cut pieces like some places. Friends and family who’ve tried the food from here have also converted into regular customers. I do notice the prices increasing over time but I am happy to pay as the food is so good, and as long as the quality stays good then it’s fine. Been inside various times and it seems like a very lovely family running the place. Was surprised to see a few low star reviews. Meat content has always been generous, everything cooked fresh in-front of you. Definitely give it a go, best Chinese in North West Leeds without a doubt.

   Terrible Singapore Fried rice , really overcooked rice made the dish heavy and stodgy, minimal meat prawn content as ordered the special version ,used a good few times over the years with few not quality dishes , unfortunately Open kitchen is off the radar now hence no more orders will be given .

   Just ordered Pad Thai box to share on the way home. Not sure if they thought we were drunk or they serve it like this - it had excess liquid like a soup so less noodles etc. Never seen a soupy Pad Thai inside or outside of Thailand, not even in the supermarket, so found his really disappointing. Won’t be able to come back as it seems they don’t care about the food served. Shame.
