Food is amazing, we have been ordering from New Peking for ages. The delivery time however is utterly atrocious, over a 2 hour wait for food (6.30pm orderd and still no food at 8.20pm) is totally unacceptable. This needs sorting ASAP.
Very polite and nice but the food is terrible!! Everything I ordered was tasteless Salt and pepper chips were plain chips with vegetables no salt and pepper at all, the egg fried rice was all stuck together in lumps and the black bean sauce was tasteless
First time trying out this place and was a bit hesitant due to the small number of reviews but the food was amazing! We ordered from the website for collection and came in about half a hour and it was ready. The staff there was nice and even got a lollipop for free (two technically). We got ribs, duck and beef and they were all cooked really well, the ribs especially were very tender and juicy - we got the bbq sauce and although it looked darker than most Chinese places, it tasted just as good (if not better). Though I suggest if you're going to get the curry chips order the the chips and curry sauce separately because I wasn't a fan of soggy, curry covered chips. Overall, really good portions with a good ratio of meat to vegetables. Will be coming back.
We've ordered from here a few times now and it's incredible every time. I'm vegetarian and I've never experienced meat alternative Chinese food as tasty as this. My husband says the chicken dishes he gets are high quality also.
Our ‘go to’ Chinese takeaway. Normally takes 10-15 minutes, rarely ever longer. Food always good, and they’ve only got an order wrong once in many years of using the place. It’s worth noting it’s cash only. The nearest cash point is at the nearby Co-op.
My first visit to the Peking Chinese and I was impressed with the service and speed. It was a lovely meal and there was lots of it. I will visit again

Have been going here for nearly thirty years. Have tried others around the town but this is by far the best. Food is always hot and delicious. Service is always prompt and polite.
Crispy beef was lovely, a bit spicy for me. Lovely mixed starter, really good value for the price. I found mixed veg a bit bland. My husband liked them though. We will definitely use them again, we are always impressed when we use them. Just a bit far for us really. Wasn't as warm as we would have liked when we got home, that's not their fault though.
This is my usual and I class myself as a regular probably using 8 to 10 times a year. Food has always been fantastic, but last night was awful. Don't know why but it was obviously a different chef preparing the meals, the meat had far too much corn flour on it which gave all the sauces a gloopy consistency and severely lacking in taste, the chicken balls were too doughey and even the young chow fried rice was not the same. Hope the reason is just that the chef is away on holiday or else I will have to find a new Chinese take away.
