Always have a delivery about once a month. Polite staff on the phone, food excellent, and delivery man especially wonderful!
Great food, consistent quality and their set meal for two will easily feed 4!! There is also an extensive menu that should suit everyone. Good, friendly staff too. Car parking is available outside the front door! We've used this takeaway now for over 40 years and are happy to keep coming here.
Food wes very tasty...But I was only in the shop waiting a matter of a few mins..no way was it freshly cooked more like warmed up. And the bad stomach that followed I will not be using this take away again.
Went there because I was staying at a nearby hotel. Cash only payment was a bit odd, but went ahead with it. The food preparation took approximately 3 minutes, which suggests the food isn't prepared fresh, and the taste confirmed it. Furthermore, the lady at the counter was pretty rude when I asked if I could have a spare container/paper plate so I could share the food with my son. She didn't give me one unless I paid extra, which is a bit unfair after I spent nearly £15 for some re-heated noodles and spring rolls. Excellent way to avoid repeat costumers!
We ordered a mixed grill and salt and chilli chips my steak was cooked but it was really tough but the bacon and sausage was undercooked and the chips were still hard and my husbands steak was raw In The middle and his bacon and sausage wasn't cooked properly either we had to throw our meals away won't be having this meal again
I will not order again from this place. The noodles i had was just some noodle water and some meat. I dont give bar reviews to any one but i cannot find any good about the food today

I’ve used this Chinese since 1981 !! (among others of course) Hings Cottage over the years have cooked a lot of food for us and is the first menu we reach for.
