   One of the worst customer service experience ever and rude staff. Even the staff will treat you according to your looks , nationality… Indians please don’t go to this store with a positive approach and if you feel okay to be insulted. Even my little kids were saying not to go back to this place as they were emotionally disturbed by the approach of the staff/ manager( I don’t know whether that lady is a manager or staff as she was dressed as if she is the manager or in charge of the shop). Never ever recommended. Management: Please recruit people who are apt for the position as you are spoiling the image of the brand. I don’t know whether u have a proper HR or training system. I can’t even mention as customer care as they don’t treat people as even customer then what to talk about the service.

   I visited this store yesterday with my family and had a bad experience there the staff is grumpy… still 15 min to close and staff keep said to leave store when still 15min left to close. As I’m aware should close at 5pm on Sunday. Staff should be more friendly not just treat customers as they not important… the staff should be aware if no customer there they don’t have there jobs.

   I had a wonderful experience at Matalan thanks to Yasmin, a truly exceptional customer service assistant. She helped me so much with returning clothes and was incredibly patient and understanding throughout the whole process. Yasmin really took the time to listen carefully to my needs, and her kind, friendly, and helpful attitude made everything feel so easy and comfortable. She never once got frustrated or raised her voice—just calmly and professionally got everything done while always wearing a lovely, welcoming smile. Her warm personality and genuine care made me feel valued as a customer, and I left the store feeling very grateful for her outstanding service.

   In the men's department Matalan carries a smaller selection in stock than competing discount clothing stores. That said, my usual supplier had in stock precisely the trousers I needed in every conceivable size - except mine. So,with some trepidation, I went to try Matalan - and found the exact same garment, of maybe better quality, and in all sizes.A sales lady, noticing my cautious attention to size, approached me to advise me on size. and fitting too.She then selected what she thought was right for me and the fitting room proved her right. I bought two pairs with complete confidence.The service provided by the sales lady to a somewhat confused customer was much appreciated. In future I will go to Matalan first.

   A shop with a huge product range, but seemingly very few staff so largely self service. I found it off putting and had to spend longer than I intended in the shop just to find customer service and staff interaction. I wont be returning in a hurry. The staff I encountered were ok but it took far too long to get service.

   Visited this branch in Leicester city Centre a few weeks ago very well laid out lots of lots of good offers for menswear childrenswear and ladies wear I got myself a hoodie and I got some stuff for presents during the year at Great prices. I wasn't able to get any photos of the store layout as I had not spoken to the store manager and if they had said yes I was allowed to do it I would have taken some photos of the store and the layout and the offers in store

   I stepped into this store for the first time since opening to exchange a Christmas gift for a child, the place was a tip and I couldn’t find the size required for the outfit. I picked up an alternative outfit and was refused the exchange by the employee who tried to encourage me to pay for the items in hand instead using a self-chekout till. I explained that I wanted to exchange the outfit and was told Christmas gifts can’t go back until 27th December, the manager confirmed this and said this is company policy. Yet there is nothing on the website or in the store to highlight this. I even phoned Matalan customer services to query this and was told this isn’t true. So a wasted journey all the way to Leicester thanks to the arrogance of the Haymarket store manager.

   Not only has the store let my wife down with the poor delivery service (Evri) resulting in deliveries not being delivered within time frame stated. But today (24 Dec 22) we arrived at the store approx 1520hrs to shop for items previously bought, only to be met by closed doors. A lady in the shop signed to me, through the glass door, that the shop closed at 1500hrs, instead of the time stated online of 1600. Appauled, as was everyone else that tried to get last minute shopping down.
