   Hired all the groomsman and groom suits from Salters, including some for the little ones that were page boys. Everything was straight forward, Penny understood the vision for the wedding and her recommendations were perfect for the colour scheme.    Best experience renting 5 full kilt outfits. Penny made my last minute booking so easy. It was quick, organised and very easy to get all sorted for our wedding day. We even had the kilts a good few days before. Next level customer service…Penny couldn’t do more for me. Kilts and everything where great quality and almost felt brand new. Highly recommend and would 100% use again. Fantastic!!!

   I recently hired 6 suits etc for my wedding from Salters and have to say I received excellent service from the moment I walked in for my initial visit to when I returned the suits. Nothing was too much trouble for Penny and her team even down to a couple of last minute waist coat changes a couple of days before the wedding. Thanks once again Salters/Penny for all your help!

   Such a great service from Penny and the team, from the initial visit with just the Groom, enabling him to try on numerous styles of suit until he found the one, to the follow up visits with the groomsmen. The suit quality and cleanliness was excellent, as was the presentation in individual bags for the big day. Penny also welcomed our 2 year old page boy and didn't flinch when he explored the shop and especially the mirror. Many Thanks.

   I bought my wedding suit from Salters. It was a very smart shop that I and my betrothed visited three times in total to get to finally purchasing the suit: 1) to choose a style and order in my (non-standard) size; 2) to try on the suit to be told that the one the sales assistant ordered for me was for the hire stock and she’d have to order me another (odd, given we were quite explicit about purchasing it); and 3) to finally try-on and purchase my actual suit. Particularly bizarre behaviour from the sales assistant included: failing on each visit to recall that we wanted to purchase rather than hire the suit and, having told us the price for the suit, we pointed out that we only wanted the suit and trousers so she removed the waistcoat and the price mysteriously didn’t change. I paid more than twice as much for the suit than quoted on readily searchable websites. In short, I’m a complete mug because the service was confused and disjointed at best, which certainly didn’t warrant a 50%+ uplift on the RRP. Trying-on the suit a week before the wedding, threads have pulled (it’s only been tried on three times in total + alterations). I’m sure they’re fine if you’re renting a suit but I’d go as far as to say it is daylight robbery if you’re purchasing one. I’m writing this review now because the threads-pulling slightly pushed me over the edge.

   SALTERS SAVED THE DAY! - Highly Recommended 5* After being let down rather surprisingly and left feeling very perplexed by our suit provider. Myself, my partner, and best man were feeling very let down and now had a dilemma with being able to find a suit provider for our upcoming wedding on time. We walked out of the current supplier and by a chance looked across the round and founds SALTERS! Upon walking in we were warmly greeted by Penny, where we started to quiz her on our current situation and interrogate with our questions and needs. Penny accommodated all our concerns, welcomed our questions, and demands, and encouraged us to return for a full measuring and fitting. When we came back for our fitting, one of the many words I would use is "SUPERB”. Penny remembered all our names and welcomed us warmly. She went through all our individual requirements and asked questions to establish exactly what we were looking for? Now I imagined a wedding suit fitting experience to include individual measurements to all persons involved, A wide range of various suits to choose from and full stock of each suit to fully try the whole outfit, then tailor the suit to your shape and size, making sure that the suit is an exact fit. Rather than simply giving different garments to "try-on" and see which one would fit properly. Penny did exactly this and individually measured each one of us and provided the matching garments of the two style of suits we were considering allowing us to put together our full chosen ensemble together to see what the outfit would look like prior to making our decision. This was extremely important to us as we have specific requirements for both our suits and the best man. Penny treated these demands with absolutely no issues and provided great suggestions on suit arrangements which turned out we agreed with and took on. I would highly recommend Salters and Penny, to anyone looking for a fantastic, welcoming, relaxing, and positive experience of having a suit fitting. With great costs and even more flexible conditions on collections and returns. A complete stress-free experience and truly great environment. I cannot thank Penny enough and truly feel confident any future grooms wishing to purchase / rent suits from Salters will also echo my feelings.
