   We came to St Margaret's Prep August 2020 and we cannot speak more highly or thank them enough for what they have done so far. Our son (aged 9) was coming from an International school in Hong Kong uninspired by education and school life. We had to move quickly with our decision of changing schools and the headmaster was very accommodating and understanding with our situation but still making sure that our son was the right fit for the school and the school would be the right fit for him. The reaching out of some of the current parents and staff to make sure our transition was as easy and smooth as possible was very welcoming. Then when my son started, in just a few short days, his opinion of the classroom and education was completely changed, he was excited and enthused again. Welcomed with open arms to a caring and nurturing environment. The all round teaching of the kids does go further than the classroom and the opportunities they have to show sportsmanship and other personal development is great to see even with the limits of the pandemic. The online learning, due to the pandemic, we have experienced has also been very well done, pitched correctly and engaging for our son. Also when at school the opportunity to use all the fantastic facilities is just part of the daily timetable. Our son says "the teachers are very friendly and as it is a small community everyone knows each other well. I have definitely enjoyed being here so far. I know they will do all they can to help me before I go to Secondary school."

   I cannot speak highly enough of St Margaret’s. The commitment of the staff, teachers and headmistress, to get the best out of each and every child is second to none. My son receives a fantastic all round education in an environment built around respect, hard work and enjoyment. The sports department excels at introducing the children to competitive team sports and organises a comprehensive fixture list each term to back it up. Pastoral care is perfect, and the communication between parents and teachers is very open. No problem was ever left unresolved. Music and performance builds self confidence in every child and all are encouraged to take part. It’s always amazing to see less confident children getting involved (often revealing incredible hidden talents). Positivity, maturity and all round confidence are the three things I have seen develop in my son – I can’t ask for more than that.
