Since I didn't eat here, I can't comment on the food. However, the beer garden was lovely, nicely sectioned off to provide a safe space for children. They had a good selection of drinks and snacks, live entertainment, and a pleasant atmosphere.
A traditional pub with a regular clientele offering well-kept beers. In clean and tidy surroundings. I've not eaten here so I've no opinion of the food on offer.
What a cracking pub with a bus service to Leeds (and Dewsbury) outside! Warm friendly welcome and quality ale make this place a worthy entry into the 2024 Good Beer Guide. 3 regular cask ales plus 1 guest.
Called in for a drink on a damp Fri in October. Lovely service, good choice of drinks.
Havnt been for several months but cask options excellent & red wine very well kept! Lovely banter from other visitors/regulars. Nice & relaxing, thank you.

We were visiting friends who live in Pudsey for the weekend and popped in for a couple of drinks. Loved it, just wish we had a nice cosy pub like this at home. They also had pie and peas on offer at a fantastic price...cosy pub serving pie and peas, what's not to love!
Great company loyal customers . Few hiccups from when our favourite landlord and landlady retired. Staff fantastic. Hope when we visit tonight Things are back on track.
Disappointing. As a CAMRA member, I have been wanting to try the Fleece for over a year and managed to get there today with my partner, dad and 4 month old baby. We were served our drinks and sat down. About 10 minutes into our drinks we were told that we weren't allowed to stay inside because we had a child with us. I've never been to a pub where this rule has applied to babes in arms. One (I presume regular) customer made us feel very unwelcome and the landlady handled the situation pretty badly. We were allowed into a separate room to finish our drinks...the whole place had a cold, unwelcoming vibe and I won't be back. 2 stars; one for the well kept ale - although surprised at the CAMRA awards as the selection was poor - and the other for the decent beer garden.
