The Ring O' Bells is a wonderful, very traditional pub experience. They have a good selection of beers and the atmosphere is excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful, making you feel welcome right away. A must-visit if you're looking for a proper pub in Halifax!
Great real ales Saltaire Blonde, Location Bread and Butter, Landlord Dark and normal. Sky football too.
Stayed here for the night while myself and Mum saw a concert at peace hall the staff where lovely and welcoming the DJ outside during the day played all the best music and the roast chicken wrap van was a very nice touch. The rooms where clean and the beds where extremely comfortable we will definitely be staying here again if we are in the area Thanks for a great stay
Fairly priced! Lady working behind the bar was very friendly and welcoming. Couple of regulars were chatty and friendly. Atmosphere was pretty quiet, likely down to the day and time of my visit but overall a pleasant experience. Didn't eat so can't rate the food but will definitely return.
It's not a restaurant hence the empty rating for food because there is none. For the other aspects it gets 5 so effortlessly that it makes the star system almost redundant. The array of well kept ales is not quite as expansive as The Royal Oak but it makes little difference. The pub has a beautiful light which drifts or streams in depending on the weather; and light, to me, can make or break a pub. But here it's lovely, whether it's packed or just a couple of old boys enjoying a peaceful pint. Very friendly and efficient service, always welcoming and warm which is how a pub should be.
Wonderful pub situated at the bottom of the hill, while entering into Halifax from Beacon Hill or Shibden hill hike. You can also grab delicious food on Sundays, they serve from 12 to 5 PM. We weren't lucky, but it certainly smelled delicious. Great selection of beers on tap, family friendly and dog friendly. Has a great outdoor sitting available. Just a couple hundred meters away from Halifax train station.

Just had an enjoyable afternoon at this pub, great Timmy Taylors , and a tasty Sunday Roast, staff was friendly and helpfull . Great place so I will be back
What a cracking and welcoming pub. We were out for a special occasion and the bar staff couldn't do enough. Hannah was really attentive and bubbly. The young lady serving food (sorry, didn't get her name) was also lovely. 12 of us had a Sunday dinner and every meal was spot on. Hats off to Jo (her gravy is the dogs doo-dahs)
