Meandering Bear is a great bar in the centre of Halifax. Good choice of beers both hand pulled and craft/keg. Very friendly staff and plenty of seating.
One of the best bars in Halifax. It just nice to sit down with ya mates or a loved one and have a nice drink and a catch up with an amazing share platter. Love the place would recommend it to anyone.
Great little pub, quite quirky, friendly staff and beers on top form, downside is it had a little bit of a club feel about it but that's a minor niggle. All in all very nice.
What a great, little bar. Nice atmosphere. Very much a 1970's vibe. Only thing I would change is the seating, on the top level, for something comfortable. Staff are lovely. Definitely try it.
Started going to the Meandering Bear once a week whilst the kids are at their clubs. Its such a nice bar, great ales and wines, relaxed atmosphere and everyone on the same friendly wavelength. Staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble.
Another really great bar in Halifax. With loads of craft and unusual beers on tap. Don't come here for cheap Stella and sky sports. Come here for great high quality beer, great atmosphere and to support a great local business.
(One of) our fave places in Halifax (and now my mum and dads too!) always have a great time here and the food and drink is top notch. Michael, James and all the staff are fab and we love it here.
Stop two at the Meandering Bear. A great micro bar with superb beer options. It turned out a friend from Uni days does a Sunday shift so we returned later. Had a lovely pint of Norwegian Blue by Parkway Brewing; all the way from Somerset on first visit. On the second visit we met Chris after a 40 year gap. He has remained a real ale fan as well and contributes to a local beer magazine. A new beer from Durham had come on. Again excellent. Well worth the visit.
