   Chris is a total rip off merchant. I had overheating issue with my car. Chris connected his obd kit to see the fault. Chris tried to hide the obd results from me, he kept covering the result screen so I didnt see anything, but I managed to see a code what came up on his screen. Chris then told me nothing is coming up on the obd reader and that he'd have to strip down my cars front end to see what issue was and that nothing came up on his obd reader. He told me it's £85 per hour and could take upto 2 to 3 hours. So I went to his neighbour garage and got my job done for £40. It was only a coolant sensor that needed replacing. Don't fall for Chris Umpleby to be some Audi Vw specialist.

   I booked my Audi Q7 at Chris Umpleby for issues relating to ABS TPMS Hill Assist and lots of warning lights.. Chris fixed the issues (touch wood) no issues as yet… and a 5 star review because Chris charged HALF of what he quoted because the fault was not what he initially diagnosed… what an honest man… thanku Chris!!!

   My Audi A3 had been to practically nearly every garage/mechanic in Bradford but not a single person could fix it, until I went to Chris who worked his magic on my car. My car had a glow plug light flashing for months, it was an on and off thing but when I took it to Chris was when my car felt like it was finished. It had the engine light on with the glow plug and no power whatsoever. The light would always read 'Supply Voltage Category B injectors'. Now people gave me a million recommendations that it could be injectors, EGR valve and all sorts, Chris checked the diagnostics machine, twiggled around with a wire in the engine bay with swicthed the car off. He then started it again and the sound of the engine and lights disappeared. I left the car with him for around 2 days, he repaired just a broken wire which was the only thing wrong with the car, invoice was around £228. Ever since, my car has not had a single light on the dash. Goes to show when you give your car in to experts, its very likely your car will be good as gold but sadly, there aren't many knowledgable mechanics around in Bradford, most are money grabbers. If there is anything wrong with your VAG group cars, which are Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat, do not hesitate at all to bring your car here, yes it is a little pricey but the money is going to professionals and with quality work is a premium price to pay. Plus I've shared a very genuine and recent experience so you all know how it went with me. Thanks again Chris.

   Called to ask for a quote, had all genuine quality parts, full set of LUK clutch, flywheel, asked for labour quote, the lady on the phone said he does not do labour only, very disappointing, guessing he adds extra charges for parts to make money on, shame to lose a customer just because you wanted to supply the part, would not recommend!

   We urgently needed a repair following a warning light coming on. The AA suggested it was dangerous to continue our journey as we were towing a caravan. Chris and his team happily accepted the job and we were on our way in 4 hours. Highly recommended

   Chris is an expert he gets straight to the point. Doesn't mess about. Definitely more on the expensive prices for garages but if you want to save the hassle of finding a garage and them not fixing your issue then Chris is your man for sure.

   I’ve used Chris for many years now, and he is polite, courteous, reliable and extremely professional. Always a pleasure to deal with, and 100% trustworthy. The quality of his work is exceptional, and every time I get my car from back from him after a service you can feel the difference. Prices are slightly higher than other garages, but you have to pay for Quality Workmanship, and it's 100% value for money. However, I do have one recommendation, pleeeease get some higher powered courtesy cars in!!
