Trustworthy service. Went with a flat tyre and when they took a look realised it was an eroded wheel. Gave advice on how to purchase one more cheaply than from Nissan and then took it back to get that sorted. It’s only a small garage so best to book in as you can’t always leave your vehicle there.
Absolutely fantastic service. I have had to have an MOT and exhaust repair aswell as a water leek fixed. I claimed these on my warranty twice and the process was far from smooth but the guys at Aldridges helped me through it and the team were really helpful.
Always use this garage for MOT and tyres etc. I have never been over charged or treated with anything other than respect. Today they sorted out a loose panel under my car and didn't charge me as it was a quick job. However they still had the right too. I would recommend them.
Been meaning to post this a good while ago...Booked my car in a couple of months ago on the premise that it was on the ""good garage scheme"" site and had good reviews.(they rely on this to get business) It was booked in for a routine MOT and Service. The car was picked up in the morning and i had a phone call shortly after regarding what work needed doing to it for the mot. The manager i presume, claimed it needed new rear discs and pads and that something was wrong with the rear axle. However, the previous month i had these replaced and i stated that over the phone. I told him to ring me back when they have found out the problem with the rear axle and give me a price. He never did, i chased it up twice and he said they are fastening the brake pipes on and told me he'd ring me back. Finally a phone call just before closing, he confirmed the work had been done and it would cost me an additional 238 pound. He had the work done without my say so as he never rang me with a quote prior. I told him to forget it and stated that he never rang to confirm prior to carrying out the work. He became abrupt and said '"well what do you want me to do take all the parts back off", i told him yes and i said i'm not paying for something he didn't confirm with me beforehand. (Standard procedure.) However, they dropped the car off, only charged me for what it went in for, they withheld my service book(keep it i have all invoices anyway) and the mot certificate, but it's digital now anyhow so i wasn't too bothered, it passed mind but thats not the point. AVOID... i assume this is standard practice at that garage and most people are afraid to say no. Regardless there's no way they're pulling my pants down! Good luck! Out of 10 people that deal with this garage i''ve got a feeling only maybe 1 will not pay for the work that''s been done but not confirmed with the owner beforehand, like me!! i will post this on facebook and local forums!
Don't ever leave your vehicle with this garage. They had my vehicle and it was left outside & someone tried to break in. Despite me making them aware of it when I collected it and subsequent calls & speaking to them about it when I dropped it in for various bits that needed doing there was an obvious reluctance to do anything about it. I have recently been chasing them for a repair & their response has been for me to claim on my insurance as they have realised how much it will cost to repair. They tried to tell me I should have picked it up but I couldn't be bothered! This wasn't true as when I went to collect it at 4.45pm they had the wheels off and were still working on it and said it wouldn't be ready till the Monday & I didn't get it back until 9.30am . They are rude & don't care how much business we have put their way; which they have now lost. Makes me wonder whether they have any insurance.
