I would recommend to avoid this solicitor. My experience with him - some years ago now - reflects the more recent comments.

Was nearly put off by reviews but thought I’d risk it as was quoted £40 to get some documents notarised vs £200+ Quoted by other law firms. Like the other reviews suggested, I went to his house, he notarised my documents and was in and out for a fraction of a price quoted by others and found Stephen was pleasant and polite. I would recommend using Stephen when needing a simple notarisation you can get in person, as little can go wrong as other reviews have complained about delays with postage.

I should have also listened to the reviews. We wanted a Power Of Attorney notarised and apostilled with Spanish Authorities. Stephen said he could do this for a charge of £50. He asked us to attend at his house. When we got there I paid £50 cash and then he asked for a further £50 to get the POA apostilled. He said he would let us know when the document was ready. I emailed several times over the following weeks and did not get a response. We went back to his house on several occasions and luckily managed to speak with him on one occasion. He said he would chase the document and get back to me. Still no response. I kept ringing and managed to get him on the phone where he again promised to chase but then never got back to me. 3 months has now passed and we are still waiting. I would most definitely avoid this man unless you want to waste your time and money.

This poor man was once a professional solicitor and still retains professionality and a profound knowledge of the law and best practices. Unfortunately, he is no longer able to fulfill his professional duties. He shouldn't be accepting further appointments. As others have suggested, I would recommend to avoid.

Like others, we made an appointment to produce certified copies, and upon arriving at his office, we were told that he didn't work there, and worked from home. At no point in arranging our appointment did he tell us this. He is totally unprofessional, and a time waster, avoid at all costs. How he stays in business doing something that should only be executed on by a reputable person, is quite simply unbelievable. Would give zero stars if I could.

Stephen fit me in for a same day appointment when I needed a power of attorney form done urgently, and his price was a fraction of what I’d been quoted by other solicitors.

Stephen is a busy Solicitor and many people require his time and knowledge as people were waiting to see him after my appointment. After I made a couple of calls, he arranged to see me quite quickly and dealt with the paperwork swiftly for a signature certification/Notary Public that I was required to submit for postgraduate University study. Great price, super polite and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you so much, Stephen.

His office is not the most modern, but his service was excellent. Super reasonable prices for a signature certification as a Notary Public. I recommend it 100%.

Poor communication. Slow. Had to instruct another firm to resolve the problem. Avoid.
