My experience with Wards was just ok during the process of buying my property. Only thing bothered me was they charged me higher than the actual quote they gave at the beginning. When I was asked they said it was mistake my other colleague when providing the quote and we can't do anything on that. Quote always says the exact prices which would be expected with respect to fee. But unfortunately I had to pay more than the quoted amount for one of the breakdown fees. I would suggest to review the quote before issuing it to any client

The developers recommended Ward hence I contacted them for new home purchase. Giving a quote and taking money were very instant and quick. Since then, every week, I was calling and emailing them to nag any updates or any supporting document they possibly need but the answer was "Kelly is not at her desk" for over 3months...?!?!? No communication for over 3months and they suddenly dropping email saying "sorry, we cannot take your case". I expressed my frustration and they were going to give the refund. It's now 4 week since they last emailed. Tossing my call around themselves and I am keep hearing empty promises that it will be refunded... I just had a call with one of them and apparently I got another further delay on my refund... Will I ever get the refund?!?! How can I ever claim refund for last 3month dealing with your unprofessional attitude and wasting my invaluable time?! THE MOST PATHETIC SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED!!!

Recently sold a house and bought a house and used Wards Bradley Stoke for conveyancing. Richard Clement was excellent and dealt with everything promptly and professionally, with great communication. Any delays were down to other parties and price was as expected and quoted. Would use again.

Wards were recommended to us by David Wilson and we used them to purchase our new build. Wards got the sale pushed through for us with incredible speed and ease, there was no stress at all and it was a pleasure to deal with everyone on the team. Bonny is a real asset to the firm, I had a a couple of concerns about something on our build and she went out of her way to get it sorted for us which was above and beyond her role. Thank you Bonny, very much appreciated!

Used Wards Family division for both my parents wills. Extremely helpful with free advice during the execution. Highly recommended.

Using Wards in the sale and purchase of our new house and with the onset of a sudden illness and end of life planning. I would like to thank the lady on reception who had such kind words for me. Thank you.

Avoid the brunch in Bradley Stoke. Rude service, I was literally welcomed on the phone with 'oh, it's you', zero customer service skilles. They messed up our forms to withdraw from ISA account TWICE! and when I asked what happened and how is that possible, they said it was 'human error' ! I understand errors, but lack of support, lack of sense of urgency I do not! Due to their mistake we were close to not being able to complete purchase of our house. We have complained to their office, who checked the files and send an email back to say that they cannot uphold complain but as 'good will gesture' they offered us discount on the fee. If you value your well being, money and time DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Wards were recommended by the developers. With hindsight it was a bad decision to instruct them. When we experienced issues after exchange of contracts the only advice we were given was that we would lose our deposit if we didn't go ahead with the purchase. We were on our own trying to get the developers to rescind the contract. We had a very good case against the developers who had no option other than to rescind the contract and refund all deposit monies. With no thanks to Wards we had an uphill struggle but we succeeded without their help. No I would not recommend Wards if you are buying a new build and they are recommended. Spend time researching other solicitors that do not have links to the developer. I wish we had done that.

Geoff Goulding and Wards Solicitors made the entire process of buying and selling excruciating. They were unresponsive to calls and emails, and would ask receptionists to lie to us in order to avoid giving updates on the process. Goulding was unprofessional, incompetent and lazy. It would take weeks to get a piece of paper signed. Buying and selling a house is already stressful enough, don't let these cowboys make it worse for you. Look for a more competent solicitor.
