Lovely and cheerful staff however the place is run down and needs work. The seats are ripped etc. The staff were lovely and helpful, the food was ok. A little over cooked but edible.
We had a tween, a teen, their grandma and us two come for dinner. All enjoyed our meals very much, cooked lovely, coleslaw was the only thing that we would have changed but that's it. Everything else was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Great prices for the food.
There is not much to say than below average in everything. The fish and chips were just some unbattered, dry piece of protein. Sometimes, I thought I was eating chicken. The plate was half empty. The pie was palatable. Let's leave it there. Staff unwelcoming, unfriendly, and uncaring. Just avoid the whole thing if you can
This place is amazing! I love spending my time playing pool with my mates and the staff are really friendly and they pour nice pints specially Elisa, Ana ,Liam and Jamie. They have nice joke and no sarcastic at all! Brilliant xx 100 recommend it !
I have been a couple of times to this establishment having not frequented before. I found my experience pleasurable. I also have enjoyed a meal at the Rose & Crown, super food In my opinion, staff were spot on.
Christmas dinner Wow!! The first time we have ever eaten out for Christmas dinner and I was a bit unsure of how it would pan out but Wow!! On arrival we had a very warm welcome and were shown straight to our table which was already prepared with activity sheets and presents for the children. All of the staff were happy and attentive even though it was Christmas day and they were working. The starters, mains and deserts were all beautifully presented and tasted great. Thank you all for your hospitality and well done.
First time we have been here. Impressive building, clean toilets etc. Staff were all lovely. Drinks & food are reasonably priced. The wife ordered "Mango chilli chicken skewer I went for the Turf, surf & cluck †. Both dishes looked great. The wife was pleased with hers apart from it was served on an aluminum platter with a sheet of what looked like left over Christmas paper under the food. Naturally the paper became damp/wet & stuck to the food. This was mentioned to the clearing staff who said they were aware of the issue. Please guys stop serving paper with the food (Is this even legal?) My meal looked great, The chicken was a tad dry. Only four small scampi, only 18 chips. I wondered why there is a + on the description. When I got to the steak I could not cut it, seriously it was tougher than old boots, a real shame. I spoke with the staff about it, I was asked what I would like to do to resolve the issue, I requested 1/3 refund. Without hesitation a full refund was given. Will we go again? Maybe.
