Had a clutch cable replaced. Very happy with the work done and the cost. I intend to use this garage when I get my car serviced and MOT'd.
I booked work on replacement of clutch on my Alfa Romeo and waited for day to leave car at garage. Received call back day before to cancel booking as job was too complicated and they just did not have space in garage to keep car for the week! No solution was offered ,just did not want to do work?This was an Alfa Romeo specialist? As a result and after some time I found local garage who completed job the following day and for much better price.
Used this garage a few years ago, had a mini which broke down and got towed there. Garage told me it couldn't be fixed it was beyond repair so I walked away carless. 3 weeks later I got a bus lane ticket with photo evidence of another lady driving around in my car after it supposedly was unable to be fixed!! Looks like it was fixed and driveable and I was conned.
Had been looking for a garage locally with some Fiat expertise for a while and came across Perseverance by a bit of luck (& recommendation from my dad). I'd been having engine issues with my '05 Punto HGT and was a bit reluctant on using just any garage as I know the engine can be tricky to work on and a lot of garages have been reluctant to do the work in the past. Both the cam sensor and crankshaft sensors were playing up, with a noisy variatorr and it was refusing to fire. Contacted Andy & he was brilliant throughout, had a lot of knowledge on the engine he was willing to share and was totally honest about what I could expect from the work, cost & labour involved. Got the car back yesterday and he had also found a problem with the original timing of the belt (from before I bought the car), & battery terminals I'd forgotten to mention that he'd fixed. Wasn't really expecting it to, but now it definately feels a lot better. Smoother drive, and not jumpy in low gears (didn't even realise it had been bad before!). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use again, top drawer professional job all round. Many thanks!
Special strength is Alfa and Fiat but a first class all round garage. The team is just two strong but with masses of experience and a helpful and welcoming style. To be relied on.
Andy and Philip are great guys and are knowledgeable mechanics. I have a SAAB 93TDI, and even though it now an obsolete motor they have never let me down. 5 star service.
