UPDATE. As requested by the response I rang the establishment. Got through to a perfectly pleasant young man who tried to take phone to the manager. Five minutes of shouting to colleagues “where is he” “he’s disappeared”. Lots of swearing by staff walking past phone. When manager located upstairs ran the phone up and told manager had a call. Manager said “yes who is it” and when he said manager replied “oh just tell them to ring back another day”. Left phone number with pleasant young man but never received a call back. Also met with friends from the meal after and all said their food was horrid. I had the festive Mac and cheese…tasted like it came out of a tin. Friend had festive burger and said was dry and overcooked. Another had the salmon and mash and said the mash was clearly frozen mash and not heated properly. Another had the Christmas dinner and left most of it as was so bad. Went for a Christmas meal this evening with a pre booked event. Meals all pre booked. Arrived 20 minutes early and were seated great then waited 70 minutes for our pre booked starters (50 minutes after our booked time). Then took over 10 minutes to bring them all out and one missed completely and had to wait for it to be cooked. Waited another 20 minutes after table cleared for mains. Again took over ten minutes to bring all meals. Dessert was same and one missed then staff argued with us that one had been brought which hadn’t. We had to produce our own order sheet and it had been missed. At which point the staff bought out a frozen dessert cling wrapped and said we could have a frozen one. Not great service for a pre booked meal.

We had a Christmas meal with our group of friends, the food was value for money and enjoyable, the staff were lovely and attentive, the atmosphere was also great. A lovely pub, the only down point was the loos needed a bit of tlc.

Lovely staff and environment here. Came with some friends during shep festival for some drinks into an absolutely amazing atmosphere. Despite the long queue of customers and busyness, staff remained upbeat and friendly. Drinks were a good price and were served to us quickly despite the busyness.

ALWAYS really good food, lovely cosy friendly environment and lovely environment for children which is hard to find. Community/local feel but very welcoming to new comers. Zero tolerance on drugs or inappropriate behaviour. My daughter especially loves the lovely outdoor facilities with a play area and nice clean kept garden and most importantly enclosed with an open feel. I love that it is so local. They have an excellent bar team and management. Cannot praise enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice meal. The Atmosphere was lovely. The only staff I dealt with was the young girl grace who served us. Lovely happy girl. Couldn't fault her

Nice place, clean and tidy, staff were pleasant. Beer was good. Nice beer patio at the front of the premises. Bit if a sun trap. Had to sample another beer to make sure. I enjoyed my visit.
