Firstly, to be completely transparent, there was a mistake on our side as 3 people forgot to pay for their Xmas meal before leaving yesterday. We apologised for that and settled the bill today. However, when reviewing the bill it became obvious that part of the problem with the unsettled bill was staff incompetence. It turned out that when 'wanting to pay for 3 course meal' you could be charged anything between £25.30 and £29.15 for the same meal. When I pointed it out to the manager today, there was no apology offered. 'I understand' was all she could say. Overall, beer is good, food OK, service very poor, hence 2 stars.

We were seated right next to a very busy bar area with a large group of loud, drunk and rowdy men. Two glasses were smashed right beside our table, and the drink splashed up my friend’s leg. She was bumped into repeatedly because there was no space between our table and the people crowding around the bar. Her feet were even stepped on multiple times by passers-by due to how cramped it was. The noise was overwhelming. We asked to be moved but were told it wasn’t possible as they were fully booked. We then had to repeatedly ask staff to request that the people at the bar give us some space. At one point, a man even sat on the end of our table, and his friend had to pull him off. It wasn’t until the glasses smashed that staff finally removed the inconsiderate group. Unfortunately, by then the atmosphere had already been ruined. All we were offered as compensation was a round of drinks, which didn’t help at all as I’m pregnant and wasn’t drinking anyway. Our food arrived only just warm. I was given the wrong dessert, and by the time they brought the correct one, my friends had already finished theirs. I also wasn’t given any custard with my crumble and waited 15 minutes for it after having to ask twice. Overall, this evening was a huge disappointment. I would not recommend coming here for a Christmas meal. I understand we visited on a Saturday at 6pm, but the tables next to the bar should not be used for dining if the venue knows the area will be packed, or they should limit how many people are allowed to crowd around the bar out of respect for those trying to eat.

Stopped by this pub on a Friday night and it was packed—definitely a busy spot! Even with the rush, the service was really prompt and friendly, which was great. The food was good, exactly what you want from proper pub grub. The only thing is, because it's so popular and busy, it gets really noisy in there. Don't plan on having any serious conversations! But if you're looking for good food and friendly staff with a lively, high-energy atmosphere, this is your place. Worth the visit.

I booked the private room for a family get together of 24 people. The team communicated really well in advance which was really reassuring. They were very attentive on the day. The person assigned to our service was really attentive and worked tirelessly and was very patient. The food was great. Thank you!

It was a hot day! En route from a day's business meeting in Leamington Spa, (as there were delays on the trains), broke my journey home and rewarded myself with a cooling beer at the Royal Pug. Loved the array of great beers, great vibe and chatty bar staff. I stayed for more than one pint, and a few hours later left to grab a bite to eat before heading home to 100+ miles away via multiple trains. Love this place!

We popped in for Lunch. It was very quiet but that made it nice and relaxing. The place is very nice inside with an Island bar. The drink selection looks plenty with own craft ales and high quality spirits. The food was very nice and well worth the money. Credits to the Chef. The toilets are very clean and the staff are all very nice and friendly. I would absolutely recommend eating here as well as popping in with mates for a few drinks. A credit to the Leamington Hospitality scene.

We had our Christmas meal in their private dinning area upstairs. Great space to hold 25 people and quick service with all our food. We will be back!

I’ve had plenty a good time here, whether it be a pie and pint, or a quick beer after a morning of shopping. My favourite item on the menu must be the burnt ends.

A cute pub with a really nice outdoor seating area! Staff were quick to take orders and suggest favourites from the menu; and there were loads of vegan and veggie options too. Dogs are welcomed (and loved by everyone there!) And its a really nice atmosphere:) Drinks can be a bit pricey but it's understandable.

Convenient location in the center of Leamington Spa, close to the train station with a nice beer selection. The food was really average, nothing special. The staff was helpful, polite and cheerful. We stayed in the backyard which definitely definitely has seen better days in the past.
