Thank you to the lovely staff at the new bowling green. We were very early for our friend's ceremony at St John's and we took refuge in this delightful old pub. You welcomed us with a friendly smile and a chat. Good beer and wine was imbibed and we were on our way with a wave.
A fantastic historic pub with great staff and a wonderful garden. The beer garden was so colourful and with a convenient bar out there, I would imagine it being great listening to some bands play live music.
A very cute pub with a lovely outdoor area and plenty of picnic tables. It’s got a relaxed vibe and there were quite a few young families there too. My friend had the chicken roast, and I had the fish and chips. Everything was yummy and very reasonably priced. I’d recommend if you’re in the area or need refueling after visiting Warwick castle (which is what we had just done!) Unfortunately I also got stung by a wasp during my visit, (no fault of the pub of course!) Just something to be aware of if you’re sitting outside during the summer months.
This is a wonderful wee pub. Legit had the best ploughman's I've ever had. Staff are all lovely and friendly and the garden is gorgeous. I'd already eaten the cheese and garlic bread before I took the picture.
Amazing food. Excellent staff. Beautiful inside and out. They have family games in the garden. It's dog friendly. Can be accessed from the little path by St Nicholas Park car park or via the main road. The food was to die for. There were 5 of us and not one complaint from adults or kids.
If you're looking for a good pie and mash (or chips) around Warwick, this is the place to go. The selection of pies is incredible with veggie and vegan options available. There's also a good selection of pub grub if you're not feeling like a pie. The pub has a cosy atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful too.
The service, food and beer are consistently fantastic here. A little gem of a place. Great indoors in the cooler months, lovely beer garden when the sun shines. Can't ask for anything better.
A well run pub, with everything maintained to a high standard. Friendly good service. A large garden space, with lots of tables, sunny sides through the day, with covered space too.
What an amazing experience! Chose this place out of 2 others and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we walked in the service was impeccable! Moss welcomed us in, showed us where to sit and when we couldn't decide which of their amazing pie selection to choose, she talked us through the options. Moss was friendly, polite and easy to talk to and made the whole experience a delight, she even helped us to choose a drink! The pies were amazing and every staff member we spoke to was helpful and another (sorry I didn't catch her name!) even went above and beyond when she saw I was looking at bus times and asked other staff in the pub the nearest bus stop which would take us to where we were going. All in all this is a great place to eat should you be in the area, I highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you New Bowling Green for making my birthday dinner an amazing experience!
