Took nearly 35 minutes to get the carvery even though it wasn't that busy . When we actually got to the carvery the cauliflower was still raw , there were hardly any roast potatoes left and also the ones that were again was not cooked properly and tough as old boots and then to finish it off the both gravy pots contained probably just enough gravy to cover two half filled plates . Refused my blue light card also so unless offered a free meal or discounted meal will certainly not be booking again nor recommending

I have had the carvery here a few times with a group and it is fine however anything else I would not recommend. My friend and I tried to order off the app first - it didn't have the dish we wanted that was on the paper menus. We went up to the bar to order and they ran through the incorrect dish and when it was queried before being paid for they acted like it was irrelevant they had put a different order through and had to be persuaded to change it. They had pitchers of cocktails on the menu which we also tried to order only to be told they don't do them anymore. Instead I ordered a long island iced tea. What came was a glass that tasted like pepsi with a splash of something alcoholic. 3 others tasted it and agreed it tasted nothing like a long island iced tea. I took it up to the bar and was informed by the only person there they don't drink and don't know how to make cocktails so had just followed the note sheets on the side. When I asked for an alternative drink that was correctly made they said they would have to charge me for it. When I pushed they agreed to make me a different drink. I requested an espresso martini. I will let the picture speak for itself on this one but it tasted worse than it looked. Too frustrated at this point to go up again someone else from our table went up and they wouldn't remake it or make a different cocktail (at this point I didn't want another anyway). The food that came was warm and edible but nothing to write home about. Portions of most of the dishes on our table were small. Poor quality food and mixology and no engagement or remorse from staff.

I haven't been here for a while. This time I was with my family. It's my first time to order their mixed grill. I felt so hungry even on the way here. When the food was served it looked nice. In my surprise it didn't come in with a sauce or gravy. I was so disappointed. How am I going to eat the grilled meat? Anyways, asked but apparently this meal DOES NOT have sauce or gravy to go with it..... asked for gravy from the carvery - gravy was so thick like glue. The sausages tasted bitter as quite burnt. And no member of the staff came back to check on how the food was or if there's anything else we'd liked to order. Had to ask for cutlery and tissue as there's none on our table unlike the other tables. The place is clean I guess to some extent. Will not come back anytime soon to try other food or maybe never.

The staff are very nice. We ordered the scampi, gammon, fish & chips, carvery and cowboy burger. Everything was served hot and timely. The scampi reminded me of tater tots, they are small popcorn size shrimp in a puff of batter. The fish was flavorful but very thin. The burger came with two patties and tasted very good. The gammon was good. The carvery is okay, you can all you want vegetables but not the meat. I found the meat was cut wafer thin and would have preferred a thicker cut. The gravy was thin and the Yorkshire pudding was a little tough. Everyone enjoyed their meal and itβs a very nice atmosphere. You can sit inside or out.

Terrible experience, I can accept there was a delay on food but not that it took 35 minutes for the drinks to get to us and when it did they got it wrong ! The steak in my mixed grill was meant to be medium to well done but it was cremated - see picture. It was not busy enough to warrant how things were.Member of staff used the ladies then did not wash her hands before returning to work. Give it a miss people.

Came in for a carvery, not disappointed! Staff were under pressure and had to deal with some rude and aggressive customers, but dealt with it in a professional manner! Tom the carvery chef was so welcoming and made us laugh! Food was brilliant! Will definitely be back, and will recommend to family and friends!

Booked for a table of 8, had a really enjoyable time in a family friendly atmosphere which my 1 year old embraced toddling about especially the play area. The food was good and didn't have to wait long. The staff member Zoe behind the bar was amazing and polite even when another customers child was rude demanding crayons. She handled it very professionally. A credit to the company. They met all my family's needs as you can imagine with 8 of us was difficult and was even patient whilst we sorted splitting the bill. Nice place will eat there again. Especially go back for the cakes they were best.

We stumbled across this pub while waiting for our car to have some work done in the local garage. 1st impressions was good, the staff was all lovely and very helpful a nice bunch of people to be around. The food was amazing all cooked fresh and the carvery was one of the best I have had in a long time and to be honest the food was very well priced not over priced. This is definitely our new go to place next time our car is back in the garage... I highly recommend... Thankyou for a lovely experience

I phoned ahead first to check on table availability and I was told to just arrive but on busier days it is best to book, very helpful and friendly on the phone. Nice greeting on arrival. Simple process to order and pay. The food was good and incredible value. This place had a lovely atmosphere and this was fostered by the extremely attentive, happy staff. Major bonus .... they had EV charging stations, brilliant.
