Was told that the place is recently under new management. Gotta say the staff are excellent. Made us feel very welcome, as well as working their absolute arses off. Saturday night entertainment was great and very reasonable prices.
What a great building from the outside, then inside it's a little like old worldy with Tudor style walls. Usual tap beers but no real ales available. Staff were alright. Nice and cosy place in it's own way. Beer was good. According to the times advertised it was serving until midnight, but I was kicked out at 11pm. Gents toilet needed work with no lock on the cubicle door and no toilet seat, disgraceful. Hope they have rectified this since I were there
This was a brilliant bar for drinking, with an underground feel from the prominence of raw bricks inside! The white and brown architecture adds to this and counter has a smooth, curved layout, ran by approachable staff. I had a bottle of Thatcher's Orange Cider and seating was comfortable, plenty of places other than tables to so not out of options to place your drinks down!
We stopped in for gins before heading to the train station for the trip back to Bristol. This is a big place. I can see it getting very busy in the evenings.
Reasonable food and prices. Very much a local pub rather than a destination location

Great little pub,cosy looking from outside.Sports tv on for all,football or horse racing for us on a Saturday pm.Great prices. Some good music playing in the background. Only reason we left as we needed some food.Perhaps some rolls behind the bar.
