    Disappointed and Let Down by Poor Communication and Mismanagement I recently booked an appointment at this salon and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience due to poor communication and lack of proper procedure. I initially called to inquire about getting my hair done and was told by the receptionist that I could come in the next day for a patch test and show the stylist what I wanted. I came in for the patch test as advised, spoke to the hairdresser, showed reference photos, and was told everything looked fine and that I could book in for the next day at 11am. Based on that conversation, I proceeded with confidence. However, when I arrived for my appointment, I was told by the owner that because it had been less than 48 hours since my patch test, it was “up to me” whether I still wanted to proceed. I explained that I had checked this with the hairdresser the day before and was told 24 hours would be fine. It felt like I was being turned away despite having followed all the instructions I was given. Things got more confusing when I was then told that the hairdresser assigned to do my hair was actually an apprentice and wasn’t trained to do the full service I requested—specifically, she could do highlights but not the base colour. This was incredibly frustrating as I had clearly explained what I wanted during the consultation. If the apprentice wasn’t trained to carry out the full treatment, I should have been told this upfront and not booked in at all. What’s even more concerning is that the apprentice was left to handle the consultation and patch test without any oversight, despite not being qualified to carry out the service. If she isn’t trained to do the job, why is she the one making commitments to clients??? I left the salon feeling extremely disappointed and let down. I had set aside time, prepared, and trusted the staff based on the information I was given. Unfortunately, the lack of clear communication and accountability has left a very poor impression. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously and reviews their procedures to ensure that qualified staff are the ones handling consultations and bookings for complex services, to avoid further customer dissatisfaction. Response to salons review; You seriously think a customer is going to speak happily and nicely after receiving the disgusting experience from your salon. The owner seriously needs her head checking, if shes calling me rude. This review was done to notify other customers. You know exactly where you went wrong, I wouldn't have known she was an apprentice. Didnt have a name badge or written over her forehead shes an apprentice. Shes the one who came forward, NOT the OWNER. So you should have taken more responsibility at the time, rather than on the day of the appointment.

    Brilliant salon I’ve been going to Brooks for years and have been beyond delighted with all aspects of the services provided. They take time to ensure they fully understand what I’m looking for and provide ideas and suggestions on anything they think will be a benefit to me. All the girls make a visit to the salon a treat. They are friendly, polite and very professional. Having a great hairdresser who you can trust is invaluable. Highly recommend.

Beautiful salon all the girls there make you feel very comfortable and time goes so fast, great experience thankyou I will be back very soon. Highly recommend for all your hair needs.

    Nice atmosphere and a good vibe, the hairdressers put you at ease and give a nice head massage during the hair washing. It feels homely and friendly too. However I knock a point off because it can be confusing when booking an appointment through the website.
