Great independent garage, run by two very experienced and friendly mechanics. I've been going to them for years and would (and do) recommend them to anyone. Excellent at diagnosing an issue. They have a comprehensive and exceptionally well kept workshop to carry out just about any task you might require. This can include more complex machine work, not just simple wrenching. Knowledgeable, a fair price and a pleasure to deal with, you couldn't ask for more.
This garage has always taken care of my cars. All the staff are friendly and courteous. They don't talk down to me because I'm a woman, which many garage staff tend to do. A great service that doesn't break the bank. 100% recommended.
I can do minor repairs myself, so when my partner's windscreen washer pump stopped working a couple of years ago, I used the internet to find out how to replace it. It soon became apparent that it was far more complicated than I had envisaged, as several other parts needed to be removed in order to be able to access the pump and I realised the job would be too much for me. I asked Autocare to replace it instead and found them to be very courteous and professional, as well as being very reasonably priced. I have since used them for other ad-hoc repairs, servicing and arranging MOTs. Their advice about the type of service that is needed is second to none. They don't try to make you have a more thorough service if the vehicle doesn't need it.
My son had a problem with the screws on his rocker cover that had rusted away,and knowing the company from years ago I thought theres one person that came to mind Peter.who I learnt has retired and moved abroad.it was a delight to see that his son is now running the show.i turned up and straight away without waiting came out to the vehicle located the correct tools and delt with the job in matter.good old fashion motor mechanics. It is rare to find agood reliable garage to look after you in such away as autocare does.i would highly and I mean highly recommend anyone and family to this wonderful business. My son and I left the business very happy.
