   Be careful!!! I started visiting this salon in February 2024 and, unfortunately, within four months my hair became severely damaged. Despite always being polite and cooperative, my concerns were repeatedly dismissed. The stylist often reacted defensively and did not take on board what I was explaining about my hair condition. I never questioned their prices or the products they recommended. In fact, I purchased all the products directly from the salon and used them exactly as instructed. I even followed their advice to check my health, including hormone and nutritional tests, all of which came back normal. After seeking opinions from two independent hairdressers, I was informed that the repeated bleaching done at this salon was the likely cause of the damage. I also mentioned several times that the colour was fading within two to three weeks, but I was told this was simply “my hair type.” When I tried to raise the issue with management, I was asked to send photos, which I did, but I never received any response. This has been a very disappointing and distressing experience. If you are considering having colour or bleaching done at this salon, please be cautious. My hair has suffered significant damage, and I would not want anyone else to go through the same situation.

   I got my hair cut for the first time here about a year ago and the service was incredible. The lovely Grace gave me a thorough consultation as I wanted to slightly change the colour and cut it shorter. The colour ended up exactly how I envisioned it and the hair cut itself perfect. I come back every month for a refresh and get the same service each time. I also got advice on how to care for my hair type which has massively helped the health of my hair :)

   All of the ladies and the service here are absolutely amazing. Grace did the perfect job on my hair today which needed a total makeover and they were all so sweet. The salon was a great location, really clean and tidy. They have loads of products available with lots of information on each. So glad I found them and will definitely be back for the foreseeable x

   showed and asked the girl at the front if she’s sure they can do the haircut i have shown her over 4 pictures of, i specifically asked more than 3 times “are you sure, SURE that you can do this haircut?” and also told her my bad experience with getting it cut once so short when i asked for something else by someone else so i would not get upset if they just said they can’t do it but the girl reassured me she can. although i believe it is completely my fault as I should’ve realised from the time she did not know what the haircut was and called it layers to which she gave me exactly that; layers at the front and completely leave it straight at the back. so upsetting if you cannot do something just say so as i have spent £42 pounds on something that made me feel so upset and self conscious and completely the opposite of what i have asked

   The last few years with Arti has completely changed how I feel about my hair. I feel confident, beautiful and empowered after visiting the salon and just that little bit lighter :) The warm welcoming environment and tea provides a calming atmosphere where you feel cared and understood with any concerns you may have! It’s the first salon I feel really listened to. The change in my confidence for myself, my hair strength, colour thickness and style is great. I have the confidence to grow back my hair again without concerns of it becoming brittle. Everyone at the Barrie Stephan team is warm, lighthearted and friendly either in person or on the phone. They are always happy to advise, or provide guidance and I wholeheartedly trust and recommend Arti with all my heart. Lottie does a great job too and whoever you see in the Salon, you’ll be able to leave laughing with your head held high and with full trust!

   I've been visiting Barrie Stephen for many years now and always feel I receive good service and a good cut. I wanted to leave a more up to date review after I visited just before Christmas for a colour and cut with Daisy. Daisy was incredibly helpful at my initial consultation, listened to what I wanted and helped me to pick a colour. During my appointment I felt very looked after and my new colour and cut looks amazing. Daisy is a brilliant stylist and a lovely person too. She is super friendly, gives amazing advice on looking after your hair in between appointments and always offers useful styling tips. An absolute credit to the Barrie Stephen team!

   Ive been seeing Daisy for over a year now and Ive never met such a good hairdresser who genuinely cares about me and the condition of my hair so much. Daisy is polite, friendly and always makes me feel super comfortable as soon as I arrive. She is diligent and a hard worker and it shows! My hair is in the best shape ever!! I travel from Birmingham because she always looks after me so well and I trust her completely. The whole team is always lovely, kind and understanding. I always feel amazing after each cut and its a genuine treat to see everyone.
