Instructed Solicitor Malcolm Gibbs at FDC law to obtain probate after my mother's death and cannot be faulted friendly, fast, and very helpful. Following on we instructed FDC lawyer Stuart Roxborough to act on our behalf to sale my deceased mothers house and again the service was first class. Both Malcolm and Stuart were very approachable tolerant and understanding to our needs in difficult circumstances, Will hesitate to use FDC law in the future.

We are very disappointed with the level of service received from this law firm. I enquired about a document being signed a few days ago but no one got back to me as they said they would. After waiting and then having to chase for an update, I was met with an unhelpful attitude and poor communication, stating they were too busy for the job - this should have been stated at the time of enquiry. I expected better professionalism and follow-through from a legal practice. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with little confidence in their client care. Communication and professionalism are key in legal matters, and unfortunately, this firm fell short on both. I would not recommend them based on my experience.

We have had the most amazing support and service from Mr John Kilmister who dealt with the settlement of my parents property. It was a long process but Mr Kilmister keep us up to date at each step and was a very reassuring figure in the ongoing dispute, I could not recommend FDC Law highly enough.

We have just moved house and had the very unfortunate experience of having to deal with this company as they represented our sellers. We found them to be unhelpful, rude, uncooperative and with no regard to the whole selling/buying process. They had a part to play in our purchase being delayed by 4 weeks. This was because they stated that they would not respond to any messages or offer an update to the estate agents because "it was inconvenient for them to do so". Our solicitor even found them intimidating and had to deal with them shouting down the phone at her. If I could, I wouldn't even award them 1 star. This clearly isn't the first complaint of this nature, so think twice before you instruct them to undertake your business.

Used this company to purchase a small parcel of land from my neighbours. They took £1000 up front but never completed the work as they faced a few issues. We ended up using an interim, who completed the purchase in two weeks and only charged £400. I would never use this firm again as they took my money could not complete the job and gave no refund.

Michael Coward has acted for me this year on several residential property sales and he is an absolute star and delivers in a calm and assured manner. I cannot recommend him strongly enough. Thanks Michael for the continued good work.

Michael Coward acted for us in the sale and purchase of properties. His communication throughout the process was excellent and he was thorough and prompt with all paperwork and replies. We cannot recommend highly enough, it really does lift some of the stress of the whole process knowing that the conveyancing is in a safe pair of hands!

We needed a solicitor to witness a deed poll for name change and were told we could do this at FDC. We were greeted in an appointment by solicitor Emma Williams rudely- were told that she ‘doesn’t do these’, yet she huffed her way through a 1 minute appointment, and we were charged £15 for 3 signatures. She was unbelievably arrogant and ruined what was meant to be a celebratory event for our child. 3 months later and we have had the deed poll returned- rejected because her stamp was faulty and she neglected to print her name with her signature. If this isn’t a service the solicitors are happy to carry out then we should have been told this on making the appointment, and we’d have happily gone elsewhere. What a shambles- never again.

We chose Michael Coward at FDC Law partly because his communication from the moment I enquired was excellent. We hadn't sold a house before, or dealt with solicitors, and with Michael we felt in safe and reliable hands. Very transparent and open to answering questions which was important as it was a stressful time and process. Can't thank Michael and his team enough. Will definitely use the firm again if necessary.

Simply the best when it comes to speed, customer service and prompt dealings. I have used Simon Twose for many years now and he is without question the best solicitor I have used.
