   I would strongly advise against using Davies and Partner Solicitors in Gloucester. Our experience with Phylip has been extremely disappointing due to poor communication, pointless delays, and a lack of proactive service. When we received the property search report, we were advised to read everything carefully, which we were more than happy to do. We asked for guidance and any key points to be ‘highlighted for our particular attention’, as we appreciate they would have a much better grasp of the legal details than we would. The response we received was: "I have to highlight it all, sorry – there is no shortcut." We weren’t looking for a shortcut, we were seeking professional input on what aspects might require closer attention or further investigation. We’re fortunate enough to have a family member who is a retired property solicitor, he identified 13 important issues in the report, none of which we would ever have known to look for ourselves. Throughout the whole process, we were left to communicate and update the sellers agents and intermediary ourselves due to the solicitor’s lack of communication with anyone, this added significant stress and nearly cost us the purchase. This level of service falls well below acceptable standards. Since our file was closed, we have contacted Davies and Partners with a formal complaint and are pleased to say the Chief Executive has been in touch with us and say they ensure it won’t happen again. However, we will not be using them again, neither will we be recommending them to anyone.

   I have nothing but praise for Davies and Partners. My case took several years settle but I was exceptionally fortunate in my choice of solicitor. Tina Ashley was superb throughout. The case was complex but she proved to be both empathetic and sympathetic throughout. I was kept fully informed at all times and I felt that I was in very safe hands. She has a warm down to earth approach and is able to explain legal complexities in a straightforward manner. An indication of her ability and experience was her choice of barrister and expert witness. Litigation proved a success and my family and I will be ever grateful to Tina and her legal skills.

   We have recently completed a house purchase using Davies and Partners to do the conveyancing for us. We were most impressed with the support and regular updates we got from the team there, in particular Nicola and Amitha. Matters were explained clearly to us, and despite living many miles from their offices, using the app made it easy to complete and sign the paperwork we needed to. Would definitely recommend this team.

   We were incredibly happy with the service provided by Davis and Partners. We purchased a property in Wales and were helped through the process by Bronwen. Davies and Partners kept in regular contact with us throughout the purchase. I rarely felt the need to call up as everything was well explained and promptly acted upon. I would highly recommend their services. This is my third dealing with solicitors and so far this company is easily the best I've dealt with.

   trying to organise an appointment to update my will, but found it impossible as the initial contact, could not understand that a deaf person needs help, so I simply gave up and said I'd email, but the email address was just as difficult to pick up, and doesn't seem to be on their web site. Poor training-- front desk people need proper training in how to accommodate disability. They are the representatives of their company.

   Kerry Raymond recently helped us with us a complex purchase of a flat, which required a deed of variation. Kerry was very communicative and quick to respond to our questions in plain English, and as first time buyer, this was an incredibly useful for us. She also promptly responded to the seller solicitors. We even had glowing reviews from the estate agents, commenting on how easy Kerry had been to work with as she had taken the time to explain exactly what was required from the sellers side to move the purchase along. If you are looking for a solicitor for your next purchase or sale, I would highly recommend Kerry.

   Over the course of the last four years, David Bain has helped me with my divorce and financial settlement. David has quite literally gone beyond the call of duty during this time, I really could not have asked or expected any more from any solicitor, David has been exceptional.    Having used Davies and Partners for conveyancing whilst purchasing a new property, I have to say that Kerry and the team dealt with process incredibly quickly and efficiently. I was recommended D&P by a colleague who used their services to buy his house a couple of years ago and I now wouldn't hesitate to recommend them myself!
