Had to find a new hairdresser after many years with the same stylist. Saw Maria advertised on Facebook and so pleased I found Intense Home Salon. Just been for my second visit for colour, cut and style. Really pleased and Maria is now my new stylist. Very comfortable setting, local and easy to park. Would highly recommend Maria, very personable.

Yay, yesterday I finally found the “one”! After years of spending a ridiculous amount of money on a colour and cut that I was never happy with, Maria took the time to listen and then delivered the goods: a fresh new colour I couldn’t be more happy with! (I also had a cut to correct the duff one I had a couple of months ago from a previous “stylist”.) Maria’s really friendly and easy-going, and her snazzy salon’s clean and bright (with a fab view of her beautiful garden/nature reserve). If you’re looking for a hairdresser with bags of experience and expertise, look no further than Maria to work her magic!
Maria fitted me in with very little notice after I spotted her advertisement on the Marshfield FB page. I explained what I was kind of looking for and was open to suggestion. Maria is absolutely amazing at what she does! I go to Maria for my usual maintenance of Babylights/cut/colour and she always does a fab job and uses high quality products that leave your hair feeling so healthy. I Recently booked in for an Up-do and I left feeling absolutely amazing, she perfected it and I had so many compliments on my hair I highly recommend Maria to anyone!
Always use intense Maria and Danielle always give 100% have all hair requirements done at this salon when required and I am very pleased with service
Took my grandmother for a haircut, the whole experience was awkward and unorganised from the off. The stylist had a made a comment about how she doesn’t do dry cuts, then when onto say my Nan would only receive 80% of a hair cut - which is exactly what she got. Uneven across the nape of the neck, long strands left around the ear/face which I had to tidy up when we got home! Considering the haircut was for my grandfathers funeral I thought the stylist would have taken more care, didn’t even offer a mirror for my Nan to check the back herself. Absolute shambles, and ridiculously expensive for “80% of a haircut” I won’t be taking her back there.
Out of all other salons I've been to previously, I always go back to Intense. Maria and Danielle are fab. They listen to what you want and are not scissor happy, so if you only want a trim, that's exactly what you get. I won't go anywhere else, they never live up to expectations and I've often found myself wishing I'd waited and gone to intense!
Had a wonderful experience with Maria. Didn’t know that the salon offered these men services. Amazing value for money, friendly, polite, professional all throughout. Will never go elsewhere from now on and cannot recommend this place enough!
I love this salon..I've been using it for years. Danielle is brilliant and gets my cut right every time. Maria is also excellent and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Maria is a fabulous mentor for all trainee hairdressers and it's nice to see people progressing their careers at Intense. I've tried many salons in Cardiff but Intense are the only ones who get it right for me personally.
