Ashley is a fantastic curly stylist and worth his weight in gold! He really knows what he is doing, and is great at it. It’s so hard to find someone to trust with my curls and I’ve found him! Highly recommend
Love this salon! I have been coming here for nearly 2 years now. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. My hair is a bit of a pain to bleach as its so dark but they are always very honest about what will work and what won't. My hair has never been in such good condition being blonde. It's long and healthy. Oh and they have the best biscuits! Definitely recommend x
Can’t recommend House of Hinton enough, started my curly hair journey a year ago after 30+ years of straightening. The stylists here have a wealth of knowledge unmatched by anywhere I’ve been before! You feel welcome from the second you walk in the door and know you are in safe hands. Ashly needs a special shout out for the way he has taught me to care for my hair and reproduce waves & curls at home! The salon carries many curl and wave products to suit many hair types, and the level of expertise on curl by curl cuts and colour treatments is next level! So glad I have found you x
I had Bryley do mine and my bridesmaids hair for my wedding. She did an incredible job, my hair looked amazing and held up for over 12 hours which I was amazed by! She was also just lovely to chat to while we were getting ready which is a lovely bonus ❤️ would highly recommend for weddings
Booked with a trainee, it was reflected in the price, therefore I didn't expect fireworks, but I did expect to be listened to. Mixed feelings. To keep it short: Positives - decent cut overall - nice styling - friendly Negatives - completely disregarded what I asked for re style and length - cutting technique was not curl by curl, it was dry cut - I do know the difference.
Went here the other day for a curly cut and it was absolutely amazing. wonderful stylist who was super nice and very funny, made my hair look wonderful and recommended a product I ended up buying and it's so nice! Definitely booking again
Wow! Just wow! I had my first curl by curl cut with Bryley in April. It is the first time in my adult life that I actually left my hair down after going to the hairdressers! I normally have to tie it back because the hairdresser just doesn’t know how to deal with curly hair! Bryley was amazing. She shared so much information and advice about curly girl methods and products, but without being pushy about anything. The cut itself was the best I have ever had. Totally blown away by the whole experience!
My first visit, and my first curl by curl cut. As someone who avoids hair cuts and going to the salon after multiple negative experiences, I must say Georgie has broken the curse! Everyone was welcoming, beautiful atmosphere, and Georgie put me at ease straight away, a gorgeous person inside and out, and I’ll never forget the giggles and laughter fits! I don’t think I have ever felt so much trust with someone cutting my curls, Georgie just knew how my hair works and how to get the best out of it. My curls look amazing and have sprung back to life, after years and years of not going to a hair salon I never thought I would say this, but I can’t wait to come back for my next cut!

ORIGINAL REVIEW I scoured the internet for a curly hair stylist, even imploring God to help me find somewhere and can say House of Hinton is truly an answer to my prayers. I am absolutely thrilled with the curl by curl cut Bryley gave me. The price was extremely reasonable, especially considering she spent two hours on my hair, cutting it dry, then wet, then several steps of styling, including specifically curly hair products. She even has a dedicated room for curly hair clients with butterflies on the ceiling for when she diffuses your hair and a special curly hair dryer to finish the job. Talk about feeling pampered! Hallelujah, Cardiff finally has a salon where they actually know how to cut curly hair!
