Purchased a few items from here. They excepted a tap when it's chrome finish deteriorated within Warranty no questions asked, so long as you have a receipt.
Absolutely disgusting customer service from the lady serving on the till this evening (Sat 29 Nov). Had a query and wanted to return an item purchased from the Nuneaton Store. Advised could not return as did not get a receipt when purchased, understand this is not Ideal. Was told nothing she could do as purchased from a different store and if I wasn't happy would need to take it up with the Nuneaton store. I thought Wickes was a national company but obviously not according to this member of staff they must all be ran separately!!! If you cannot return an unopened item without a receipt perhaps they should give you one when purchasing or make this clear when asking if you would like a receipt. This ladies attitude was disgraceful and should not be working in retail. My young nephew who was with me said they had similar dealings with the same member of staff in the past. She is obviously in the wrong job!!! Will not shop here or recommend to anyone.
4 years ago we had a kitchen and was over the moon with it from start to finish. We was so pleased with it we have now gone back to the Hinckley wickes and seen the same ladies as before, she is so brilliant at her job I couldn't think of anyone else better to arrange our bathroom, the work men are so brilliant at there job. We will always recommend them.
Just been to get some slabs,cement & sand. Chris was a great help to move them to my car.
If you can, avoid using wickes in Hinckley, the deputy manager (didn’t catch her name, I think it may be Baljit) is so rude, dismissive and unprofessional. I had spoken to customer services prior to going into the store and rather than listening to any explanation I was giving she kept coming back at me to tell me ‘she couldn’t do that’. A quick phone call to customer service and she did in fact do what I’d told her I’d been told on the phone! She was also extremely rude to a member of staff whilst we were in store and has no regard for her staff or her customers, a very unprofessional and poor experience and she definitely should not be in the role she is in!
Wickes in Hinckley, located just on the outskirts of town, has a large variety of building and garden materials and products for builders and the weekend diy jobs. If, like me, you dislike B&Q, then wickes is a better alternative. There is lots of parking for vans and cars, great for loading etc.
24th June 2020. Good visit, clear coronavirus mitigation in place, limit to customer numbers, one way system, clear signage (apart from the micro sign directing you to the tills to pay so I got a bit lost, doohh), trolleys being disinfected between customers, 2 metre markers etc. Pleasant and helpful staff. Well done Wickes!
I just totally love wickes get all my DIY stuff from these guys the staff are very friendly and the delivery guys from city sprint always there on the day
Visited in early July 2020. The store has a one way around policy, there were markings on the floor to show 2 metres. There were lots of staff around to help. The tills had lots of space between and there was an area to put your purchases while being scanned. I felt Covid secure. They had the products I wanted in stock, paint and filler.
Social distancing really easy to follow, store laid out very well, there was a woman at the door who was informative and asked what you wanted so she could tell you what they had. Really good service from her. I would have given 5 stars but the woman at the till was a bit rude and could have easily asked us to move rather than telling us. Maybe have a sign for till etiquette so we know what to expect and arnt guessing.
