At the time of my visit there was an exhibition on display by NEET. Wonderful. And a lovely cafe downstairs. That catered for food allergies,
South Square is a group of 19th-century workers' cottages, Renovated in 1982 as a community arts centre. It is now home to studio spaces for artists, a gallery, community spaces, fine art framers, bar and a café. The centre hosts events and activities, including creative arts workshop. It was a nice venue for an arts workshop - still life drawing: flowers. Two hours of timed sketching sessions, led by friendly and helpful tutor Zoe, with all materials provided. Parking is on-street only, which can be tricky to find especially at weekends.
What a great little hideaway venue. Well worth the visit. Alcohol reasonably priced. We went when there was an open dec event where people played their own choice of records. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff and guests. Loved it!
Lovely quaint gallery. Some great works up to look at and had an impromptu lunch in the cafe which I highly recommend. Service was brilliant and friendly.
Lovely little art gallery, had a cafe attached, but didn't use it today. Roadside parking.

I have seen, and been around this place in Thornton from 80's to now. Great for it's history. Love the stone buildings and features. Even though its been done up, it still has the charm of old Yorkshire stone. Arts there. Cafe on site. And clean, spacious and modern toilets. Down some steps to a big open garden area. Lovely.
A hidden gem of Bradford. Lovely arts centre with a great bar, veggie cafe and art galleries. Outside there is a nice garden at the back and courtyard seating for use of the cafe and bar. Look out for regular events.
