My preferred place to shop for building supplies and parts. The staff are great, they have really been helpful over the years. Well worth joining the Toolstation club for the discount. Usually easy to park right out front.
I bought several LED bulbs advertised as having a 15000 hour lifespan, being 1.7 years of continuous operation. Several failed inside 12 months and were replaced, but one failed at 13 months and Toolstation refused to replace it, even though I pointed out their 12 months guarantee was irrelevant according to the law. I have spent a lot of money with them, apparently good faith is worth less than a few quid! What a stupid attitude, they lost a customer. This was not the Barry branch staff, they have always been great, it was their central 'customer services'.
Staff are always so helpful in this store. Always so friendly and happy to help. Thank you to Claire in the Barry store today for being knowledgable about garden taps and getting the product I needed.
Great products and fantastic customer service. Service with a smile, great! Any products that are not in stock they have them delivered to the store the next day, wonderful. Can recommend them they're fantastic.
Very rude staff member at the tills today. Went to pick up a part for my workplace and asked if the woman behind the tills if knew what the part was called that I needed after showing her a picture. She bluntly replied ‘I don’t know I’m not a plumber’ I was shocked and clearly know this as I can see she is stood behind a till in a store. Very bad customer service probably the worst I have received! Body language was awful (she rudely nodded with attitude at me) I asked if she was having a bad day. Got told I am now! Very shocking! Asked to be served by someone else. Was served by the manager who was very helpful and lovely even though he wasn’t a plumber haha! Head office might want to do some customer service training as next time I will be going to B&Q even if they can be more pricey.

Tools. Brill if you do practical stuff. You want a hammer instead of a rock? Go here. You want a drill instead of trying to dig into things with your fingers? They sell those too. You want a fire extinguisher? I cant say if they sell those tbh, but you can check in a catalog or online.... you get the general idea. Tool station sells tools.
Great store and fantastic customer service. Their click and collect system is very efficient.
Always use this place as they have good stocks and they are very competitive on prices. They just need to get their app sorted out for searching products. The app is very poor and has been reported to them many times.
