I’ve just been to this shop looking for lemongrass sticks and bamboo shoots, I found both at a very good price and the elderly man at the till was very helpful and accommodating considering I can’t speak or read Mandarin.
After paying, there is A woman's attitude became much worse.
Really kind girl at the register, even though it's a small store I felt comfortable browsing because she just left me to it but was really helpful when I did ask some questions.
Very helpful staff,clean tidy shop, but a little cramped,wheelchair access, though the isles are close,opens at 12am daily,caters mainly for the large student population
Some people may have had varying experiences here, but if I'm honest, I didn't have that. The lady manning the till was kind enough to help take the stuff we wanted to the till, just like in Japan. There was a variety of products from the far East, and I was impressed and surprised with what I found. Everything you could ever need to make an Eastern dish is right here. In some cases, the prices of the products are cheaper than anywhere else, even Amazon. I would recommend this, don't be mislead by the rating or reviews :)
I came to visit today to look for some Oriental products. The Chinese guy manning the store is absolutely rude and has no sense of customer service. It seems that this supermarket has the same owner as the nearby Oriental supermarket as this same rude guy also works there. Avoid both these supermarkets at all costs if you want to avoid overpriced products and rude staff.
The shop is not open 24 hours.. Someone please update the correct timings.
Extraordinarily expensive by Chinese supermarket standards, but I guess you are paying for convenience.
