Excellent service - at 11am on New Years Eve I optimistically booked a taxi for 1am that night. Guy on the phone said they would do their best, and the time would be approximate - fair enough. Taxi turned up at 01:10, which is good going! The price was very reasonable, so I was totally happy.
Whenever I come to Bristol I always use Dowend taxi service, it's the only place where I don't use Uber. They are fast and efficient and also provide good recommendations for places to visit. Can't beat good local Bristol taxi drivers.
I regularly use Downend Taxis for my weekly pick up journeys to work. The driver is always reliable, punctual and professional. Highly recommend!
BEST TAXI SERVICE Great service I would definitely use it again! Excellent service from booking through to pick up and drop off at the airport. Internet booking was easy, and questions were answered by email promptly. Staff at the airport and also pick up from the apartment were friendly and helpful.
I booked a taxi for my elderly disabled mum to go to hospital . Quoted £15 and I checked that they definitely took a card. My mother ended up paying £20 and he insisted he only took cash . When a person lacks mobility and elderly to go to hospital this is unacceptable . If you state one thing stick to it.! If she had no cash based on your original direction it would have caused an elderly lady who is disabled to find a cash till . Why cash in this day and age move to the modern world ! . I also hope this hope is declared earnings!.
AVOID! Didn't show up to collect us from Bristol airport as arranged. No reason as other taxis arrived for other passengers and no traffic issues due to time of day. Me and my 7 year old daughter landed at midnight and no taxi. Tried calling, but phone switched off. 2 hours for an Uber who thankfully saved us but still!! No explanation or apology either. Reading other reviews, it would appear we're not the first. I just wish I'd read them before booking with them!
Staff and security 5 stars! Got there late for the football, place is heaving I managed to secure some seats all thanks to the security and even having a good laugh with them. Had food too was quick and stupendous
Disgraceful! Don't book a taxi with this company! They let you down big time! How you can take a booking to pick someone up from Bristol Airport at 11.30pm / midnight and not even have the intention of showing up , it is disgusting. I've messaged you and you haven't even apologised. I had my 8 year old son with us and it's just not acceptable. Happy to take our £55 when convenient for them! Will never be using your taxi company again and hopefully nor will family and friends
Excellent service from Downend Taxi - very friendly, punctual and a reasonable price. We had 3 different drivers over a 3 day period and they were all excellent, and very helpful with my husband's wheelchair. We will use them again.
