I had a psychiatrist appointment with Dr Mckie who definitely should not be working with young adults with mental health! I had an appointment 2 weeks ago with Dr Raj who was very understanding and diagnosed me with bi polar and got me started on some medication. Today was meant to be a meditation review with Dr Raj i was never informed before hand i would be seeing someone new. So i went to my appointment today and saw Dr Mckie who hadnβt even read my notes. She had to look at the computer to know my name and was 18 mins late for my appointment and didnβt even know i had been diagnosed with Bi polar she then had the nerve to tell me the other doctor was wrong with my diagnosis after only seeing me for less than 2 minutes. She then continued to tell me what she thought was wrong with me when she could see i was getting upset and confused. I have waited multiple years to get a diagnosis and finally this helped me understand what was wrong with me. About 10 minutes in to this meeting she made me feel judged as i dont make eye contact with people as ive always found it difficult she stated she cant have a conversation with me if im not engaged even after my mum had explained i struggle with eye contact. Around this time i had started to get very upset and asked her if she believes the other doctor is wrong what does she think is wrong with me , she would not give me any information and stated she was stopping the conversation all because i questioned her answers. I left this appointment feeling very low and confused after they kept me in a room for over an hour after i stated many times i wanted to leave. I really do not want to come back but they have told me i will not receive the help or medication if i was to discharge myself. So for anyone who is thinking of receiving help for your mental health at skipton general i would stay far away for Dr Mckie unless you want to leave with more mental health problems. It honestly was an awful experience and i left feeling very confused. She also refused to review my medication due to her not believing the other doctor so now im stuck on a medication that is not helping . Honestly a sickening experience.

Il keep it simple and straight to the point as I know they like to delete the truth, but donβt trust the people in the mental health department!! ( craven centre!) . All they want is the information on your problems so they can write it down so it looks like they have helped! Without doing anything ! Iβve been to this joke many times and itβs really not worth it trust me! Iβd love to say more but it will just get deleted! If your reading this no your worth and do not TRUST THESES β¦..people! If your are the staff reading this you ARE A DISGRACE!!

THIS IS A MESSAGE FOR JANE IN PHLEBOTOMY Sheβs the best woman Iβve ever ever been to for bloods , laid me right back and next to the window so I was comfortable. Absolutely brilliant and cannot thank her enough. She stayed and chatted with me and gave me a glass of water to ensure I was okay before I went home. 10000/10 service Jane!!! X

Dr Jan from the dental department at Skipton General is absolutely brilliant. He is always very kind and considerate with his patients. The nurses are great and all of the team deserve some recognition!

I just want to say a huge thank you to all of the staff who helped me today. From the lovely receptionists to the kind nurses and doctors. I had multiple tests and checks and received the best care. The staff are so jolly and happy to help even though the waiting room and AE department was beyond max capacity with some pretty 'needy/demanding' patients. I wanted to write this post as I don't think this department gets enough praise and thanks! So a big thank you to everyone who supported me today. Keep up the amazing work x

To give a Blood test sample at Skipton Hospital you have to book an appointment via Eventbrite, and often can't get an appointment for less than a week away! Then, when you get there, the staff are often waiting and doing nothing. Very poorly organised, I'm sure it could be more efficient and see people more quickly.

What can I say? I was thrown out onto the street after being insulted and called a liar by Simon Brady. He continued to interrupt me, harassing me and questioning everything I did and said, accusing me of being aggressive, arguing and being dishonest. He said I was arguing and I stated that he was telling me lies that obviously were held on my records and I stated in reply that I was not arguing, I was disagreeing because they were not facts. He stated that it was all down in black and white and I said, no that is wrong and I asked him if he believed everything that someone else wrote? When he accused me of aggression, I tried to say hold on a minute, I am passionate and I am frustrated about my lack of treatment for ptsd and my mental health as I had been trying to get help for over 2 and a half years, 7 years to date, and I was being ignored, rejected and my health was suffering terribly. Will anyone listen to this review I doubt it. A few times in the past the wonderful nhs saved my life. Are they now trying to take it back, it certainly feels that way for sure. I am not calling the nhs wonderful as all is not well and it will not be for the considerable future. Simon Brady is now a Team Leader, the man who accused me of being aggressive over 25 times ****? Is he really qualified to assess anyone's mental health when he placed me in a state of alarm, distress and he traumatises me? Mental Health Practises in Skipton, Airedale and emanating from Bradford NHS TRUST, are discriminatory, rejectful and inciteful, is this Mental Health Awareness?

Attended Out of Hours emergency department on New Years Day to see Doctor Narwaz who after examination confirmed I had a water infection and obtained some antibiotics for me, together with a follow up prescription when pharmacies reopen. The Doctor was superb I cannot praise him enough so kind, caring and professional an absolute credit to his profession. Thank you Doctor.

Only attended the dental department. The staff are amazing and always put you at ease. I get sedated for treatment so I can't remember whilst I'm having treatment done but they do an amazing job. Even the dental surgeon at Airedale hospital commented on how good the dental work was and how good his referral was to the hospital (Airedale). Thank you to all the staff in the Dental Department you all really help my anxiety and keep me calm.
