   I've been with this surgery 8 or 9 years now and I'd be devastated if I were forced to go elsewhere. I've always had the very best care from my Dr (Malone) and is hugely supportive and compassionate. Most of the receptionists are also fabulous (every once in awhile you get the odd one who seems to think they know your situation better than either yourself or your Dr but it fortunately rare).

   Very poor service trying to talk to someone at the surgery. I telephoned on Thursday 15 June in the morning and was number 8 in the queue. TWO HOURS later I became number one, at this point the phone disconnected and when I retried the surgery answer machine said the surgery was now closed. It’s disgraceful that you can’t even talk to anyone to get help which I needed with an elderly relative and the perception is they don’t care at the surgery either. Even with a shortage of doctors surely you should be able to get some guidance from the reception as a basic human courtesy?

   The staff and doctors are amazing. My recent experiences have been fabulous. Had a call back from a doctor because I had a very painful back after hurting it at work and was given medication straight away. The following day the pain had worsened and I was able to walk in to the reception where doctor Santhanam saw I was in severe pain and examined me straight away giving me stronger pain relief. There wasn’t an appointment to see the doctor that morning but he dealt with me immediately after realising I was in discomfort. Brilliant team!!

   I've just waited 17 minutes at the desk waiting to be even acknowledged, ringing the bell multiple times. A receptionist came to the desk, very annoyed Asif she had better things to do. She then went to the back room again, depsite seeing another lady in front of me, and had the other lady waiting almost 15 minutes too... This isn't good enough.

   A complete joke. After almost 15 years of consistently getting my prescriptions wrong with zero remorse or appology I recently had to switch to Tesco pharmacy for my diabetes medication. Tesco have proved to be vastly more competent, getting my prescription right every time, proving it's not that hard after all. Today I called to arrange a prescription review with my GP. I spent 36 minutes in the telephone queue to make an appointment only to have the phone put down on me when it was my turn. In summary, it appears that this surgery are not only incapable of gathering prescriptions accurately but they are now incapable of answering a phone. I think you need to remind yourselves what the S in NHS stands for.

   I don’t normally write reviews but I just want to thank everybody: the doctors, the nurses and the clerical staff at Northowram and Kos surgeries. Since coming to live at Northowram 5 years ago, my wife and I have received nothing but the very highest care from the doctors and nurses at the practice, and the reception staff are always so very helpful. We are grateful, and confident, that should we need a doctor, we have the best, right here on our doorstep.

   The Covid vaccination centre for many doctor surgeries in the Brighouse and surrounding areas. Efficient and friendly service. Plenty of parking available.

   Very happy with the surgery. There is now a que system on the phone's, so if you ring at 8am you do not need to keep ringing back.
