   They all go that extra mile! We wanted to re-carpet the whole house with predominantly wool carpet, made in the uk. Oliver in the shop showed us to the appropriate selections and was so helpful without being pushy. He came and measured up, quoted and we ordered. The fitters moved the heavy and large furniture without a murmur (we moved the “stuff” from on and in to make it easier), and they replaced it in almost exactly the right places. The fit is excellent, they cleared up completely including hoovering, we couldn’t be more pleased. Absolutely recommend this firm to everyone.

   Went in there to enquire about some furniture which had been in the window but wasn't anymore but showing in stock on their website. Staff couldn't have been less interested and less helpful. Walked out and went elsewhere.

   I had a very small area. Of carpet fitted in my porch way 3 meters. It took 1/2 hour to fit. I could not believe how much they charged for this. So expensive. I will not recommend this company at all. When I spoke to the man on the phone explaining this. He wouldn't even get into the conversation with me. So rude. All he was interested in. Was getting his payment. Its was so over priced.

   My mother in law recently bought a mattress from this shop. She has Parkinson’s so couldn’t try the mattress at the shop properly but after sitting on it thought it was okay. She purchased and got it delivered and after 4 or 5 nights she realised it wasn’t suitable - the height of the mattress meant she was struggling to get in an out of bed. She has raised this with the shop and was told they couldn’t do anything as she has chosen the mattress - the person she talked to one the phone was quite rude to her as well which was very upsetting for her. She is now using her old mattress, the shop didn’t suggest any solution or compensation which seems like a complete violation of the consumer law. I think that any other big mattress company or homeware shop will suggest a return window on a mattress. I also think it’s a really unfair treatment of someone who finds it harder to move, come to the shop, choose things etc. It’s sad that she chose to support a local shop rather than going to a bigger chain one and got a treatment like that. I would avoid this shop as I don’t think it cares about customers.

   Gem of a shop and lovely staff, very helpful and not pushy. Just endured 2 years on an awful mattress that I stupidly ordered on online, Popped into Monks one afternoon, tried out their large range and now enjoying the best sleeps ever on an incredibly comfortable Harrison Spinks mattress. Went back last weekend for new sheets and pillows.....thank you!!!
