Ordered several furniture items online for home. We were happy with the price tag after looking at the advertised goods. However, this changed upon delivery. Many of the items were damaged on delivery, despite appearing to have been well packed. Even the furniture that looked good on delivery soon developed small faults such as drawers not closing properly. I would not like to speculate on the quality of raw materials and where the furniture was manufactured but I know that I am never returning to this company and would not recommend it.

Appalling service received today on this product purchased. Delivery company couldn’t complete installation as they had screwed the bolts through the wrong side of the base and unable to get them back out. Left after two hours as that’s all the time they had and had built none of the unit. Left the rubbish all outside and in the kitchen and left the unbuilt unit scattered throughout the property! Caused damage to the kitchen table and door from dumping the unit parts on it. Paid for the installation service but wasn’t complete. Wouldn’t advise this company especially the delivery and instillation to anyone unless you want damage to your property and and unfinished unit. Will be seeking a full refund plus goodwill for the damages. Steer clear of this highly unprofessional company, a truely regrettable purchase. I hope the do right and process the refund asap

My wife and I needed a considerable amount of new furniture following a house move and selected The Cotswold Company after visiting the shop and seeing the items that we would buy. We ended up spending over £9,000 on a range of dining and bedroom furniture. The only part of the transaction that worked properly was when they took our money. When it came to actually receiving the items, the misery began; three triple wardrobes were delivered damaged (over £4,000 worth), our dining table was delivered without the chairs (which I had specifically stated that I didn't want to happen), the online payment request that they sent me showed the wrong value for the second delivery which meant that I couldn't make the payment and therefore couldn't book a delivery date, the problems felt never ending. They turned what should have been a joyful experience into weeks of misery. The staff at the shop and at their central office didn't seem to understand the difficulty that they were creating and showed little in the way of empathy. Each set of delivery people were not surprised about the damage, which they said was normal and each delivery team were also due to carry out collections of damaged goods from various addresses after other people had presumably gone through the same process as us. I have managed to get everything corrected, but it has taken time and money to sort out their errors and I still have yet to get our freshly painted walls redecorated after they were damaged by the wardrobe deliveries. I will never purchase anything from this company again.
