Staff nurse in ward 37 who wore headcovering was obnoxious telling people to sit down and shut up. Very disrespectfull. There are notes all over hospital stating no staff abuse but patient abuse seems to be ignored. All of her notes were in capitals which is a sign of shouting and anger. I rang up.to query my daughters discharge letter whuch was incorrect several times but she would not answer any questions . After complaining to the hospital a complete waste if time I am now going to the Parliamentary Ombudsman and this nurse is definitely being reported for her behaviour. I wouldn't . mind if she was a good nurse but I visited my daughter for over 8 hours every day and that particular nurse never moved from the nursing station once and never actually helped one patient. An absolute disgrace

We can't praise the hospital enough, from the transport team who transferred us to the hospital from our local hospital, the surgeons, radiologists, consultants and doctors who saved our daughter's life, to the nurses and HCAs who kept her stabilised and cared for, and the housekeepers and cleaners who reassured us and accommodated overnight stays for us to be close to her. Thank you all!

My experience at Leicester Royal Infirmary has been extremely disappointing. In my personal view, the standard of care feels far below what patients deserve, and I left feeling frustrated, unheard, and let down. The mental health team, from my experience, seemed disengaged and unhelpful. It felt as though there was very little meaningful support or action taken, even when it was urgently needed. The overall impression was that staff were not proactive, and this left me questioning the effectiveness of the service. I also felt that many of the doctors appeared distracted or uninterested. At times it seemed like there was more chatting among staff than actual patient care happening. As someone relying on professionals for urgent help, this was incredibly disheartening. When you see clinicians — who are already well-paid — appearing disengaged and then taking further strike action, it’s difficult not to feel frustrated and abandoned. On top of that, several staff members came across to me as rude or dismissive. The attitude I encountered made an already stressful situation feel even worse. Overall, my experience at this hospital was extremely negative. I hope the organisation seriously reviews its standards of care, communication, and professionalism, because patients deserve far better.

If I could give this a negative I would. Absolutely abismal. No one communicates, no urgency. It's just a tick-box excerise. The place is falling apart, blocked toilets, rubbish everywhere. The radiator covers have been lying on the floor for three weeks!! The system is broken and the staff should be calling for reform not payrises! It needs abolishing and starting from scratch with people who care not managers who are never seen.

Such a filthy hospital! Can’t believe this is what I saw on Thursday and again this morning (Saturday). A glove that clearly a clinical member of staff has dropped, rubbish, dirt and even a cigarette end. It makes me wonder what the cleanliness is like in the rest of the hospital.

Staff is doing their best to attend patients' needs. Parking can be improved. Attended for physio assessment and the physiotherapist was kind and patient. I have also asked few questions regarding tinnitus as he himself suffering from the same.

I feel very disheartened by the staff in the hospital. I have always stuck up for them and felt sorry for them but having experienced this last week with mum in a critical stage the doctor has been arrogant and not even willing to do anything, so short staffed. They have lost test results and instructions as mum has been moved 4 times you would think going digital this wouldn’t happen but it’s worse than having the paper logs in my opinion. I can’t say how disappointed I am with the NHS and the level of care and affection has gone down the drain. It’s like a bunch of robots caring for my mum in there.

It was the night before Christmas Eve. My GP had called and said my blood test was extremely low for haemoglobin. I was very breathless and feeling really dizzy. I got a friend to drop me at A&E about 7.30. I got to reception and was registered within 5 minutes. The waiting area was packed and had to search for a seat. By 9pm I went into triage room where nurse let me lie on examination couch. Then I was asked to sit back in waiting area. By 10pm I was taken through to majors and given a trolley in a glass door cubicle. I received 2 bags of blood overnight. All the staff were professional and really friendly. I was offered a sandwich, tea, coffee and biscuits. In the morning I was offered more drinks and breakfast cereal. I was moved to a ward where I'd missed ordering lunch so again the staff fetched me a sandwich. Can't fault the LRI and what they do under such pressures. Thanks so much. Listening to other people some were definitely not emergencies.

Worst thinking i came to uk by seeing this kind of place I never ever throught developed countries hospitals will have this kind of waiting period. Instead of improving your currency better improve your hospital facilities .

incredibly slow. my partner waited nearly 6 hours to be seen, got moved to a different area and waited for another 2 hours. ended up leaving without being seen as it’s so slow. staff don’t care, shrug their shoulders when you ask them how long it’s going to take. they moan about being understaffed, yet staff just stand around talking instead of doing their jobs. they all need to pull their fingers out and actually get to work, maybe then you wouldn’t have people worrying and in pain for hours on end. you’re not understaffed, you’re just lazy.
