I had an excellent experience with Alex, my shoulder felt better within 2 days of her treatment! Very appreciative for the last minute appointment.

Easy online booking system, accessible location and nice setting. Alex is very knowledgeable and the acupuncture absolutely helped speed up recovery from a badly herniated (slipped) disc (c6/c7). Some background: my particular injury was caused by a violent sneeze of all things - likely the final straw after weeks of tree cutting/garden clearing outside of my usual sedentary lifestyle - and it took around 12 weeks for the pain to subside just to the point I wasn't taking paracetamol and ibuprofen every 4 hours. My doctor prescribed Amitriptyline, but I wasn't brave enough to take these after reading about the potential side effects! I experienced a total loss of strength in the right triceps, followed by a badly trapped (median) nerve which caused non-stop tingling at the slightest movement and pain centred around the shoulder blade, running all the way down my right arm and resulted in numbness in the index finger. Imagine being crushed in a clamp or vice 24/7 and you've got the idea(!) Suffice to say, there were many sleepless nights and days where I was just downright depressed thinking things would never get better. I turned to Natural Elements following a recommend - Alex advised realistic timescales for my recovery (don't listen to online claims that you can fully recover from a slipped disc in 4 weeks - you really can't) and encouraged healthy eating (anti-inflammatory diet) and gentle walking with appropriate targeted exercises. Combined with the acupuncture this all really helped - my recovery is ongoing and estimated at 6-12 months for 'full' healing; the approximate time it takes for the body to reabsorb the herniated material. I took note that while the pain might subside and disappear in the short-term (for me, around 12 weeks), the body takes an eternity to heal a slipped disc and accompanying nerve damage - discs can easily re-herniate if you try to do too much too soon and the numbness remains for now. As such, I plan on taking it easy for a very long time as I have no intention of going through that level of pain again if I can help it! To those of you out there in a similar situation, please don't suffer in silence or wait as long as I did - go and see Alex or one of the other qualified physios as soon as you can. You'll get back to being you again much sooner than you think! Thank you again to Alex and the Natural Elements team!

The Natural Elements team provide excellent physiotherapy services. They always ask about the reasons for the the appointment to understand the issue at a holistic level and then treat appropriately. I would highly recommend them!

I have been to both Groby and Barrow practises which are clean and presentable. Both Rosie and Annie are approachable and give you confidence that you are being listened to. The rehabilitation exercise plans are mailed to you with a video guide and description after being explained and practised to competence. Very happy and will continue to use.

Alex was amazing, diagnosed the issue with my arm and the electro acupuncture with the daily exercises has been fantastic and Ade a real difference. Would completely recommend Alex and the practice as a whole.

I was so impressed with the service provided by Natural Elements. Alex quickly diagnosed my problem and provided me with exercises and instructions of how to move forward. The exercise app is amazing, enabling me to complete each exercise correctly. Alex also answered questions I had after my appointment promptly, even though she was on holiday. In all the years I have been seeing a physio, never have I received this level of service, or been contacted to see how I am doing following my appointment. I would recommend Natural Elements to everyone who needs to see a physio.

Great website. Very easy to book and submit necessary medical information. Therapist was very thorough, kind and professional. Easy to understand instructions with straightforward advice. Exercises were sent on line, very quickly with both video and pictorial directions. After one visit I feel reassured that as long as I do the exercises my pain can be better managed

As a walk in customer, I needed a massage and some Physio to help with some shoulder pain/ tightness I was experiencing after shoulder surgery 3 months prior. I was seen by Rosie first for a massage, and a week later for some Physio and massage.Whatever she did had an amazing effect on my shoulder, and when I return to Australia I’ll be asking my Physiotherapist to repeat what she performed on me.My only regret is that I didn’t see her more often on my 4 week visit. My shoulder felt better than it had done in weeks, Thanks again.

I have been a semi-regular customer of Natural Elements since they opened a clinic in Groby. A Natural Elements gift card is one of my favourite presents for Christmas! What can I say about them? Firstly, and an important reason for my continued custom, the staff are friendly and professional. It is a nice experience when you go to see them, from the minute you walk in the door to the minute you leave. The staff are qualified and know what they are doing, and as important, what not to do. My custom has largely been Back and Shoulder massages which I can fully recommend. I am looking to go for a Chiropody session shortly and am fully confident I will get the same friendly, professional service and effective treatment that I have become accustomed to! I HIGHLY recommend this business!
