I find the receptionists are very helpful they try their best to advise you of what you need to do by pointing you in the best direction to sort your problem out. I've never had any problems in the 8+ years I have been with them even though I am house bound

I used an automatic redial app because the line was busy from the moment they opened. After nearly 100 redials I was put in a queue on hold for half an hour only to be told by reception that if I want to get an appointment I need to call first thing when they open. What do you think I had been trying to do for the last hour?
Waited 25mins to get through kept saying user busy which I understand. I then got through and was in a Que position 7 after anouther 20 mins the rejectionist picked up and said hello I was talking to her trying to book an appointment after 2 seconds she said hello again perhaps didn’t hear me talking and just put the phone down! Now can’t get through again and will be back of the Que, another hour to wait. I have the call timer in my phone and saids two seconds. Not long enough before slamming the phone down because you can’t be bothered, finally got through asked the woman what happened annd that you hung up on and she ignored me just kept asking for my name, then had a thing with me the whole phone call where she was bully and barely talking mabey it’s because I called her out. Because of this, all appointments gone for today even though I rang when they opened at 8:30am booking me in at a random other doctors 6 days forward from today! And 30mins from my house just what I want. Useless.
This place is a shambles. The front desk staff are unhelpful and rude. They left a 6 day old baby waiting 1.10 mins. They refused to walk 20ft to ask if the midwife was available. We you ask them a question they reply with a rude snarky reply.
Having registered with Orchard Medical Practice more than 20 years I have nothing but praise for them. Yes, getting an appointment has and is sometimes difficult, but this is all relative imo; emergency appointments are always dealt with promptly. I'm writing a review now because my son moved to London to Uni in September. In the 3 months that's passed, the GP practice he's registered with have been absolutely terrible and that is NO exaggeration what-so-ever. The appalling or non-existent service received from them has made me massively appreciate both the Broughton Astley main surgery and, living in Ullesthorpe, the branch surgery there. Staff are helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. I for one would highly recommend this practice.
Reception staff are really friendly and helpful. I've never had a problem getting an appointment for myself or my son. They do a very tough job and deserve praise for staying so polite under stressful circumstances. All the medical staff I've had appointments with have been equally as friendly and professional. Unfortunately you do often have to call multiple times for an appointment, which are snapped up quickly, but this is not a unique situation to this practice. The staff are trying their best given the situation with the NHS, people seem to forget a lot of things are out of their control. Keep up the good work!
I have been a patient at this practice for many years and I have always received excellent care. We are very lucky to have this practice in our village. I've always been able to talk to someone, when needed, be that a GP or a nurse. The receptionists do their upmost to make this happen. The GPs genuinely care about their patients, and listen to you, nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. They're very thorough in making a diagnosis, getting to the bottom of symptoms and subsequently getting patients the help they need. The GPs have also gone the extra mile, when I've had a serious or complex problem, by calling to check how I am and how I'm getting on which is very much appreciated. Thank you.
