   Myself and some co-workers/friends stayed here for a work-cation. The owner and staff are incredibly nice. The food at the Horse can't be beat especially the breakfast for the hotel guests. The Sunday dinner was the best meal I had in the 2.5 weeks I was overseas. Location was perfect for me. I enjoyed a little "shortcut" through the woods while walking to the center of Shepshed. Very quiet. There are only 6 rooms. The internet while not super high speed was good enough for me to work just fine from my room. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Shepshed.

   Perfect stop off on my way back from Newcastle to Brighton. 5 minutes drive off the motorway. Really lovely set up with a super comfy bed, clean, lovely hot shower, quiet, selection of tea/coffee. You'll have a good nights sleep here. Accommodation is next to a pub, so food available if you need it (obviously check opening times). I loved the breakfast choices, it was like eating out at a café with a range of options. The owners are also lovely; very approachable and were very flexible for me.

   We stayed here for one night, we cannot praise this little gem enough , whole atmosphere was magic, the evening meal was the best , the breakfast cooked to perfection, room was spotless , big comfy bed so many little touches,what makes this place extra special is the attentive staff, nothing was too much for them polite and kind we will recommend and will deffovbe going again 10/10 ...

   One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in for a long time. Amazing value for money and a first class cooked breakfast. Had my evening meal there also which was excellent, also loads of parking which is great. I would highly recommend. The rooms are amazing and outstanding value for money!! Underfloor heating, quality real wood furniture, iron, pod coffee maker, 40” TV and an amazing power shower.

   What is not to LOVE about The Barn Courtyard...absolutely outstanding. We chose this on the morning to use as a stopover on the way down South to see family. From the moment we entered the pub It felt homely and welcoming. We were upgraded to the deluxe suite and it is beautiful and spotlessly clean, and clearly alot of thought has gone into these properties. Every member of staff we met were welcoming and friendly - a credit to the management. Great value and delicious meal in the bustling pub restaurant on the evening was very relaxing. Breakfast the next morning cooked to order..perfect. Will definitely return and highly recommend.
