I have been living at Merlin Wharf since December 2022 and now going into my 4th year. It is very pet friendly which is the main reason I chose this place and I have been very happy here. The facilities in the building are great - it is very secure, the staff are super helpful and being able to pick up your parcels from the reception 24/7 really helps. There's an onsite gym, garden area, meeting rooms and even a cinema room to host your birthdays and other events. The building management organise lots of fun events for the residents like Christmas parties, pub quizzes etc. You can walk your pet around the building outdoor space without leaving the actual building which is great for safety especially at night, and some of the residents are dog walkers/sitters too which helps in last minute trips. Being able to request maintenance when something breaks is a life saver - last year my washing machine stopped working after a hair clip blocked it - and Dave from facilities came and fixed it same day without me needing to call (and pay a lot) for a plumber at Christmas time. The reception staff are super helpful and very friendly, often willing to have a chat and laugh with you. In fact - on the day my dog sadly died - they were the first people I saw when I came back from the vets, and were super quick to comfort me and offer help - and for that, I'll always be grateful. The reception is manned 24/7 during the week and weekends and all the staff and the building manager are very helpful, and there's also a mobile app for residents to use. The location of the building is great for everything - it's super close to the bus and train stations, there's a corner shop opposite the building, and super close to the city centre. The flats come with their own WiFi which you can use (up to 50mbps I think) but for me I opted for my own WiFi as I work from home (and game a lot). Please note that it is OFNL (fibre internet) so you will not be able to use BT internet and such - I went with Ashford Fibre which is great value for money. I live on the side of the building with views over the river and the mini square which is very peaceful and makes for good views while working from home. Overall I would 100% recommend living here if you like convenience, great and modern facilities, value for money and a warm and community-like vibe. A big shoutout to Markell, Clare, Brad and all the facilities, lettings office & out of hours staff who make this place what it is - a home, not just a building.

I have been living here for more than two years, and the staff have always been extremely helpful and kind to everyone. I would especially like to mention the manager, Markell, who is exceptionally supportive and always pleasant with the tenants. I would also like to thank the staff members Claire and Brad for their great service

I’m really enjoying my time here. The reception team is warm and genuinely helpful, which makes a big difference day to day. The apartment itself has great views over the canal and easy access to nice walking spots, so the place feels calm and open. Parking can be a bit of a pain at first, but if you’re patient for a few months you’ll usually get a spot inside. They also have charging points, which is a life-saver if you’ve got an EV. The gym is small, but it does the job and it’s perfect for a quick run when the weather turns miserable. Overall, happy with the place and it’s been a good experience living here.

I have lived here for three years now , the staff have been consistently helpful, friendly, and kind. Whenever I need assistance, they are always prompt and attentive. The apartments offer beautiful views of Leicester city centre and the river. The communal spaces include a lovely terrace and a well-equipped gym.

Been living here for the past 7 months now and overall it’s a really great place. The on site staff are always kind, friendly and helpful with any situation. It is well situated just on the corner of the city centre so it has great access everywhere. Temperature control is quiet good and normally I don’t have the need to turn on the heating. Some cons and I why I don’t give 5 stars is because the Wi-Fi is sufficient but you could always get an external source. Also insurance her can be a bit more expensive for some reason. Picky one but because the windows are full height the blinds are not enough to cover the light in the morning.

Merlin Wharf is a kool pet friendly place to live - located right in the city limits with easy access to transportation, many restaurants and a shopping mall. MW common area, with outdoor gym (there also an indoor) and picnic tables, sits alongside the River Soar, where swans, rowers, and canal boats are a frequent sight. The staff are Amazing - friendly and accommodating, and the lobby lounge is cozy and comfortable

I highly recommend renting at MW under new management. Flats are in high standard, with a great location close to all city centre amenities. Whole staff at MW is very helpful and always there to respond whenever needed. Maintenance is quick and can deal with any issues at your flat. Reception staff is always happy to assist with anything, thanks to Shannon and rest of the amazing crew for making this place look amazing. After they joined MW, reception is looking much cleaner, it’s nicely decorated to every theme, whether it was World Cup, Halloween or Xmas. They’ve organised events to bring the community together. I think it was very wise of higher management to bring the right people here. Overall, I recommend renting at MW

Although tomorrow is our moving day, we learned that our application was negative today. Although our guarantor uploaded all kinds of documents, they did not accept because he was not a home owner. However, when I met face to face, they were more positive. We packed our things because we were moving tomorrow, but today we were left in the middle.
