Today, I had a frustrating experience from rentmyhome from Leicester that I feel compelled to share. After a grueling four-hour journey to view a flat, I arrived only to discover that the key wasn't available to let us in. It was incredibly disappointing to travel such a long distance for nothing. To make matters worse, the viewing was overbooked, with multiple prospective tenants arriving simultaneously. This not only made the situation confusing but also awkward for everyone involved, as we all waited in vain to see a property we had hoped could be our future home. I urge the company to improve its scheduling and communication practices. It's crucial to coordinate viewings more efficiently to prevent such letdowns. Potential tenants deserve a more organized and respectful process. I hope future prospective tenants have a smoother experience.

Ahmed has been so helpful towards my husband and I, working on our issues as tenants immediately. He has been beyond helpful and shown care towards resolving any issues. He’s easy to reach and is efficient with the work he does.

No one ever answers the phone. I have just moved in and kept being told I will receive the details of the utility providers by email. No email and no response to my chaser. I have no hot water and I have several chronic pain conditions and need to have hot baths to help. I haven’t been told where the meter is and it isn’t in the flat so I can’t even find it all myself. Asked for the complaints procedure and no response. Avoid using this company as all it seems they are after is your money!

I feel completely let down by Rent My Home agency in Leicester. After reporting a leak, nothing was done, which eventually led to my kitchen ceiling collapsing. They initially wanted to repair it while I was still living in the property with my small children, and I had to beg to be moved. The temporary property they placed me in also had serious maintenance issues — every time the toilet was flushed, sewage water came up into the bath. Despite reporting it as an emergency, it took two days to resolve, during which we had to live in the smell of sewage and couldn’t use the bathroom. I was told my original property would be ready by 1st October, but I’ve had no updates despite sending emails and calling the office. Instead, they now want to move me somewhere else with no clear explanation. This has been the worst letting agency I’ve ever dealt with — poor communication, lack of urgency, and complete disregard for tenants’ living conditions.

I am residing at this property since 2020 and I would like to say that YAZ, has gone above and beyond taking care of us. He has an excellent approach to his customers and supports them very closely regarding any issues and getting the job done at the property. I would also like to add that Rob, the Contractor has done a fantastic job at this property, where we have been having loads of issues. A very big thank you, to YAZ, I hope he maintains this commitment to his job.

After living almost a year at Abbey House in 56 Burleys Way, I'm happy to share my positive experience about the accommodation as well as my experience with the agency Rent My Home. Onboarding After finding the apartment listing, we have contacted the agent to schedule a viewing. Our request has been promptly reviewed and we have received a call to arrange a viewing from Mr. Niraj Shah, who led the viewing with utmost hospitality and professionalism. We have been happy with flat and have confirmed our interest shortly after the viewing. The contract preparation, review, and discussion were done quite professional and swiftly, which had let us move to the flat as soon as the previous tenant has vacated the property. Mr. Shah was quite helpful during the moving process, where he provided a tour of the buildings and helped us with setting up broadband and utilities. The Property Our flat encompasses 2 decently spaced bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a spacious kitchen-living room. It is on a high floor overlooking a wonderful view of the city as well as the enchanting greenery of Abbey Park. The kitchen came with a medium-sized fridge, cooker-oven with an exhaust, a washing machine, and plenty of storage space. The kitchen design was modern and minimal with an ample working space for cooking. The living room space was medium sized, allotting a space for a dining table with chairs, a sofa, a TV setup, and a large coffee table. The space has allowed us to smartly decorate and a build a personal place. Moving to the bedrooms, the first bed room was nicely spaced to allow for a large bed with other furniture items. The admirable finishing of the big and small details of the apartment allowed our furniture to blend in quite nicely, creating a highly personalized environment. The second bedroom was used as an office room, large enough to host two large desks and a wide closet. Overall, the rooms in the property were properly finished a high standard and designed for families or individuals to flourish and live with calming peace and consistent productivity. Location One of the biggest advantages of choosing this property is its immaculate location. It's at the edge of city center, the perfect spot for people who would like some calm to focus on work but also accessible to a variety of notable locations: - Abbey Park: across the street 2-3 min walking - St. Margaret's Bus Station: besides the building, less than 1 min to reach by walking - Highcross Mall: about 5-6 min walking distance - Leicester city center: less than 5 min walk In summary, the location of the Abbey House is excellent. Of course, there is overheard traffic and occasional late night noises, but they are rare in our experience and quite manageable. The Agent: Rent My Home A cornerstone of our positive experience has been built by our relationship with our letting agency, especially with Mr. Niraj Shah, who have been immensely helpful, accommodating, and neatly professional. A few times we needed to fix minor issues concerning the property, and Mr. Shah has always managed to provide timely and sufficient technical support through skilled maintenance personnel. Like any place, there is always room for improvement, and this doesn't deduct from our positive experience at all but raises the bar further. The bathroom sink could be bigger in our opinion and the electric shower could use a little more pressure. Also, the window isolation could improve to block air from getting inside the flat in windy days. Other than that, the flat is well built and satisfactory. Final Thoughts To conclude my review, we have made wonderful memories during our stay at Abbey House and we were satisfied with the various aspects of our accommodation, including the property itself, the provided facilities, the professional service and maintenance, and the nice atmosphere at the building. I highly recommend this property and Rent My Home if you're looking for quality and well-located accommodation and great service.
